St Peter'S Harton

A vibrant and growing community, praying and praising since 1867, St Peter's church sits in the heart of Harton Village in South Shields. All are welcome!

We offer a range of styles of service over the week, and hope to offer more in the future.

Sundays, 10. 45am – Family Eucharist
Our main Sunday service for all the church family, occasionally including a baptism. Younger members sometimes move into the Green Room for teaching, activities and song. Visitors, including children, are always welcome. Refreshments are served after the service.

Sundays, 6pm – Evening Service
We have a variety of evening worship styles.

Thursdays, 10am – Holy Communion
A short, said service from Common Worship. Followed by refreshments in the Green Room.

Daily Prayer 6pm
Evening Prayer is normally said at 6pm on weekdays, on Wednesday at 7pm.

CHURCH HALL
St Peter’s Church Hall is adjacent to the Church, and offers two different sized rooms with access to kitchen facilities available to hire. A number of weekly activities take place by community groups, but one-off events are also welcome.
