Thank-you everyone for all your interest in what we have been up to preparing for and visiting Malawi with St Peters Malawi Education Trust. It has been a fabulous journey.
So many people have asked how the trip went, we thought we'd like to share some of it with you, from a little about the background of the charity, fundraising to enable the project, what we have achieved out there this Easter and looking forward to new plans and projects.

The St Peter's Malawi Education Trust team also built a new kindergarten on their recent visit to Malawi.

While we were in Malawi on our recent building trip, we visited the home of William Kamkwamba - he is famous for building a windmill and he wrote a book about his story which is about to be made into s feature film “The Boy who Harnessed the Wind”. His home is just a couple of miles from our base in Mtunthama and his story in many ways sums up why we are helping to develop education in Malawi. If bright young people like William are given a chance they can change the world.
This is a short film made about his story a few years ago - the book is great so read it if you get the chance.
