The children enjoyed a busy day learning about electricity - its different forms, how it's made and it's uses! They particularly enjoyed the Frankenstein frogs šø workshop where they experimented with static electricity ā”ļø
This school rocks; it was only last weekend that I started watching Top Class and when I saw this school's team today, my first reaction was "Oh My Goodness, these guys are the ones to watch" because they were OUTSTANDING
Pupils are extremely courteous and well behaved. There is a wonderful community feel in and around the Nursery and School. The excellent facilities and superb staff must take credit for my childrenās progress to date.
I went to this school in the late 80s to early 90s and was not an academic child, however Mr Warmsley (think thatās how it was spelt) started an extra class aimed at animals and wildlife, which gave me a subject to excel in and I still have my book award!!! Lol I went on to become a manager in primate toxicology and itās with the help of teachers like him that I found my love and vocation thank you
I went there as a pupil in 1999 when I was 6 and they helped my education advance. My name was 'vidhooshan'. Many teachers were kind, they had good discipline techniques, kids in school were friendly. Now my life is messed up but St. Pius really helped me because I got a scholarship to Arnold School in the 6th grade entrance exam and they allowed me to sit the Nottingham High School exam in their own library when I was unable to attend! I became Chess captain and I played piano there and won awards because the school helped me. Their food is nutritious and good and I miss the good ole days.
I left St Pius X in 1988. The School provided me with a sound foundation both educationally and morally. Both of my children attend. Need I say more? One happy old boy, one happy parent. Well done to Miss Banks and all of her team that make this School a very special one indeed.
Couldn't be happier with St Pius for my children. The teachers are exceptional and the old school etiquette and manners encouraged are hard to come across in a lot of places.
Back in the 80's it was rocking Miss Joanne Plumb I still have a place in my heart for you
