After a few weeks of very hard work from our retail team, we’ve given our Raynes Park shop a little internal facelift.
Our efforts went into turning it into a more welcoming, lighter and brighter store to provide our customers with a greater shopping experience.
We hope this small makeover will attract even more charity supporters from our community.
... So, why don’t pop by and see it for yourself!
We welcome you to our revamped Raynes Park shop 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) at 10 Lambton Rd, SW20 0LR.
Thank you for your donations so far! Every penny helps!

Hospice care is so much more than a building where you go to die. Most hospice care happens at home and in the community. It's vital we're there to support every family in need.
We are proud to be part of the #OpenUpHospiceCare campaign run by @HospiceUK and we hope you’ll find the below video inspiring. Watch families share their views on the Hospice care and what difference it made to their lives.
Over 70% of funding for the UK hospice movement comes from supporters like yo...u. With your help, we can open up hospice care to everyone in our community.
If you want to know more about Community Palliative Care and Hospice at Home services we provide in the boroughs of Merton and Sutton or, even better, make a donation, have a look at our website: www.straphaels.org.uk

St Raph's therapy dog, Maisie, has been on a very serious duty today - having cuddles with our in-patients. Here is, the lovely Ruth, enjoying Maisie's company on her lap.
Maisie is an adorable miniature poodle with a very distinct taste. When it comes to little treats, she is very partial to smoked salmon! Maisie also loves to have regular naps on a cosy blanket with her teddy bear at the Jubilee Therapy Centre.
It's Maisie's birthday soon! She is going to be 3 years old on March 10th.

To our regular shop visitors and supporters!
Our Cheam shop is up and running after it got targeted by burglars this Wednesday night. We can not thank the local police, Central Locksmiths and Cheam Glass enough for their imminent response and help in repairing the damage done.
We are all pulling together for our distressed staff and volunteers, who felt saddened by this unpleasant incident and the loss of weekly collections.
... Thanks to everyone's efforts we are open as usual!

ūüíú No one who achieves success does so without acknowledging the help of others. ūüíú
Last week we celebrated the importance of the role our volunteers play in providing the exceptional hospice care to the local community. A lot of effort went into the preparation for our annual volunteers‚Äô thank-you celebration.ūüéą
Hospice events venue, St Bede‚Äôs, was magically transformed into a restaurant set up to serve delicious cream tea in lush purple surroundings. The highly-valued team of... volunteers were met with a welcome drink and were then seated for an afternoon tea, which we heard was amazing and to everyone‚Äôs taste. Thank you to our very own Orangery Caf√© and the volunteers who run it for supplying the tasty food. ūüéāūüćĹ
Everyone felt truly appreciated, as our CEO, Mike Roycroft, thanked them in his short and heart-felt welcome speech. St Raph’s staff went the extra mile in expressing their gratitude to the volunteers by serving teas and coffees to 160 attendees; it was almost an effortless gesture, which made everyone feel extra special and valued.
St Raph‚Äôs CEO also presented 26 volunteers with their long-service awards, given out to the people who have been volunteering with us for as long as 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. Six of those awarded have supported us for 15 years or longer, which would make 105 years in total!ūüď£ūüé∂
To put it in simple terms - we would not exist, if it wasn‚Äôt for our volunteers. ūüíú
There are 400 volunteers who generously help us with fundraising activities, patient care and admin. We are always looking for new faces and skills and so, if you’d like to give your time to improve our patients’ time and well-being at the end of their lives, please email us at: volunteering@straphaels.org.uk.

Lovely Ameera has successfully completed last year’s half marathon in memory of her Dad, whom we cared for at the end of his life. She thought the run was great.
"It was quite emotional during the run, as I was remembering the time spent at the hospice with my father. 10 years is a very long time and it’s gone by so quickly. Every single staff member gave us so much love and support. We’ll never forget it".

User

We cannot thank the team enough for looking after my dad so well in his final weeks. They are all amazing and looked after us too - thank you thank you - Paul Newman’s family

User

This is where my mother spent her last days on earth! The place is so serene and well thought out! The artist who created all the sculptures did a superb job and the rooms are open to the outside with flowers and grassy hills to gaze at when feeling the bite of inevitable loss and fear of W death! It is very grounding and peaceful! Lovely place to go before the end! Recommended!

User

They gave Betty (my mum-in-law) excellent care at the end of her life - treating her with dignity, respect and ensuring she was comfortable and pain free. We feel that Betty was really lucky to get a bed here. We cannot thank the hospice staff and volunteers enough.

User

There are no words to explain how incredible St. Raphael's is. I lost my beautiful Grandma here just over 2 years ago and my incredible Grandad here yesterday morning. The staff could not have made the experience more comfortable for my Grandparents and always offered us the greatest support. We were overjoyed to enable my Grandad the opportunity to say goodbye to our dog and I will be forever grateful for their constant care. I could not thank the angels who work here enough for what they do.

User

The support for families is extraordinary the compassion, care and love for patients is outstanding. Thank you for allowing Mum to die with dignity and supporting us while we went the journey with her.

Thank you for taking care of my mother

On 28 September 2018, I lost my beloved mom, Anna Trepto. She had spent the last five weeks of her life at St. Raphael's Hospice Worcester Park.

I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff . They are all truly phenomenal caregivers. From the receptionist, to the hairdresser to the laundry staff, to the kitchen staff, they are all just such wonderful, caring people. I want to give a big thanks to the kind, caring and loving nursing staff who treated mom as if she was a member of their own family. Again, thanks to all. I will never forget your kindness. To us, it is absolute proof that angels do walk among us. I will keep you all in my prayers, and may God bless you abundantly.

Emil Trepto and family
