Join us for our Good Friday Service at 2pm

For our All Ages Good Friday service we read the story of The Three Trees who had great wishes for their future, although the wishes didn’t turn out as they were expecting they were each used in an important part of the life of Jesus and realised their hopes. We remembered Jesus died on the cross - and with our hopes written on leaves and offered up to God we turned that cross back into a tree - a tree of hope!

A fun filled Palm Sunday at St Stephen’s today including our annual visit from Billy the donkey and ‘Pin Jesus on the Donkey’ activity as inspired by Christopher Johnson and The Wigston Benefice - so thank you very much!

Today in Sunday school we talked about Mary washing Jesus’s feet with her best perfume and designed our own perfume bottles with special ingredients including all the best bits of us like our smiles, talents and love 💕

"How can I pray?" was a very successful week - lots of people popped in and tried things, and we have a wonderful reflection on the window of the Visitation in the Lady chapel as a tangible product of the event. For those who missed it some of the leaflets on different approaches to prayer that were not taken are still in the porch - help yourself!
Several of those who took part want something similar next year so look out for" How CAn I Pray 2 ? - sometime in Lent next year.

Today in Sunday school we created candles and talked about having to be patient when waiting for things we are looking forward to and being very excited when it happens, just like Simeon and Anna.
