When a Japanese restaurant is full of Japanese customers you know it is going to be good. And it was. I don't know much about how Japanese food should taste but it was very different and very tasty.

We love this place, food always fresh and service is alway great. My girls aged 8,4&2 love it too. Best big bowl noodles and bento box in town and sushi platter are great value too

Visited this fine establishment yesterday and was thoroughly impressed by the service and quality of the food. The tofu curry was exceptional! I will definitely come here again!

Very accommodating. There were 11 of us, we just turned up without booking. They put us upstairs. So it was like a private party. Waitresses were very attentive without being overpowering. Ordered our food. All 18 dishes came out virtually at the same time. Hot and very fresh. Food quality was excellent. Compliments to the chef and kitchen team on getting it out all together hot. A excellent service all round. Prices were a bit steep, but to be expected of a Japanese restaurant.

Tried today for first time. Everything tasted good. Grilled cheese veg rolls where original and very yummy. I also tried some green tea ice cream which was also lovely. Lots and lots to choose from hot and cold for meat eaters and veggies like myself. Great that I got a refill of my green tea. Service was slow but friendly and polite and it soon filled up after we got there which tells me its quite popular. Will be returning soon with others.

One of our favourite restaurants. The food is always so fresh and the sushi is absolutely delicious. Been lots of times and always loved it. Also reasonably priced. Will always come back to this place �

I'm not a great fan of sushi, so I might have been put off going by the name. I'm so glad my friends persuaded me though, as the food was delicious - and there was so much more than sushi on the menu! Friendly staff too :-)

Had a really good meal here of salmon in teriyaki sauce with rice and veg. Simple but delicious, and a good sized portion- very good value. Will be back!

Friendly staff , fantastic food. Highly recommend for just a place to eat and relax or even with that someone special.

First time visiting. Would go back in a minute, deserves the recommendations. Brilliant food, very fresh, well cooked and great value for a family too. We had tempura prawn and chicken katsu bento boxes, chicken and seabass terriyaki and a couple of sides.

Excellent food and the service was quick. We had the big platter- the shogun- and you had to confirm in person so they could make it as it takes them 40 minutes to put together so if you're getting a sharing platter, get starters. I'd go back and I'm not usually a sushi person.

Delicious, definitely worth the price, friendly waiters and great service, definitely recommend the unagi fried rice and cheesy buta udon as well as the takoyaki

After my favourite place for Japanese food shut earlier this year I've been looking for somewhere else in newcastle to get my fix. I am so pleased I have found st sushi!!!! Food was all delicious and reasonably priced. Portions were very good and the servers were friendly and efficient. 100% will return.

Still struggling to find anywhere to match the taste of sushi in America however not bad. Better quality soy sauce at the tables needed and had a struggle to get drink despite my best efforts to get waitresses attention. But that a side. Decent

Prawn Tempura and Chicken Teryaki were beautiful. All of the food was spot on actually. The only down side would have been the service waiting time. We waited around 20 minutes after being sat down before a server came to our table. Otherwise I can't fault the place. Food and drinks quickly followed once ordered. Will definitely be back 😊👍



Soy sauce was a little too salty!

Yet another wrong order from what was my favourite restaurant. Don't understand why it's so hard for your staff to repeat an order back to you before hanging up. I told her three times what I wanted and it's still not right. Terrible customer service which is a massive shame.

Feeling really disappointed with St Sushi now sadly. Have been going here for three years and popped along to their new venue for the first time for my 21st birthday as a birthday lunch and really not happy with what we went too. Absolutely freezing cold! Had to all wear our coats for the whole meal then when we politely ask if the heating is on we are just told it was, it absolutely was not. The service was appalling, I'm assuming there was no manager in as I've never had service like that from this place before in their other two venues. The food took forever and when again we politely asked where our mains were considering we were the only people in the restaurant and usually they are pretty good with timing, we were abruptly told "well you have just finished your starter so give them a chance." Sadly now me and my parents who have been coming here a long time won't be going back to their new venue after today.
