St Thomas’s is first and foremost a Parish Church that tries to look outward to the wider Community in which it is set. We use Common Worship for our Sunday and Weekday Services, so you could describe our worship as ‘modern traditional’.

Looking for somewhere to take the children this summer? Try St Thomas Church, who will be running throughout the holidays. Coffee Stop is open every Tuesday morning between 9am and 12noon in the cafe area at the back of the church. It is a relaxed place for those of all ages to meet and enjoy coffee and cake. During the summer, there will be activities and crafts for children (and adults!) of all ages. Rainbow Tots is held in the church hall every Wednesday morning from 10-1...1.30am for preschool children only (including those starting school in September) and their carers. Plenty of toys, hot drinks for the adults, snacks for the children and group singing at the end of the morning. Expectant mothers and parents with babies are also very welcome. There is no charge for either of these groups, but a small donation is appreciated. For more information, phone St Thomas Church office 01749 672335.

The Right Revd Peter Hancock the Bishop of Bath and Wells is delighted to announce the appointment of The Reverend Tobie Osmond to the post of Vicar of Taunton St Mary Magdalene and St John the Evangelist.
Tobie’s last Sunday as Incumbent of St Thomas Wells, with the Horringtons, Priest in Charge of Chewton Mendip with Emborough, Litton and Ston Easton and Area Dean of Shepton Mallet Deanery, will be October the 6th.
The licensing will be on Thursday, 31st October.
