Going food shopping this weekend? Please put some extra cheddar cheese in your basket for St Wilfrid's Centre. Our clients love cheese toasties and we have run out of cheese. Please help! We are open from 9am - 5pm on each weekday for you to drop off your cheese. Thank you

And we’re off! Everyone’s got their coats and shades (and umbrella) ready for our client trip to Blackpool! We all have our fingers crossed for the clouds to shift so we are able to enjoy a trip to the beach and an ice cream under some sun. We have over 30 clients on this trip today, all of who are excited for a day out and (hopefully) some sun.
The client trip to Blackpool allows our clients to take a trip outside the centre, and have a short break by the seaside, many of who would not have the opportunity to leave Sheffield otherwise. Our client trips are run frequently and are available for all clients to take part in, socialise, and most importantly have fun!

Join TrashTagAbi on Sunday 9th June and help her tidy our city centre
A huge thanks to the TrashTagAbi who has organised a litter pick at Sheffield Court House on Sunday 9th June. She is aiming to breaking the world record for collecting the most cigarette butts & help raise money for St Wilfrid's Centre and other local charities.
For every £10 donated to Abi, she does a litter pick and is hoping to reach her target of £1,000 (100 litter picks!) which will be donated to the... 5 selected local charities as part of the Bummit fundraiser.
The world record for collecting ciggie butts is currently set at 270,000 butts by 240 volunteers in Brussels in 3 hours, so to help Abi break the record for the most cigarette butts collected, she needs all the help she can get.
So if you want to help clean up the streets of Sheffield, whilst raising money for a good cause, head down to Sheffield Court House at 12 pm this Sunday (9th) June grab a bag, and get picking!
Please share!

The 1st-7th June marks the celebration of Volunteers Week! This is a week that lies in the very heart of St. Wilfrid’s Centre, and is a time to say 'thank you' for the amazing contributions that our volunteers make every single day.
We have over 140 volunteers here at St Wilfrid’s who work directly in the Centre, who between them deliver around 14,000 hours of voluntary hours each year. Our volunteers represent an annual benefit in kind wage saving of around £150,000.
With...out volunteers our service would look extremely different and we would struggle to deliver the excellent service that we do on a day-to-day basis. We rely on our volunteers to run classes, greet clients & guests, support our skills based workshop, and of course fundraising. Without our wonderful volunteers many of our clients would not have the experience and the help that they do.
Although we like to show our appreciation and thanks to our volunteers every time they come on shift, we would like to take this week to say a huge thanks for all the continued support, we couldn’t do it without them!
We are always looking for new volunteers, but we are actively looking for volunteers to cover these roles, https://bit.ly/2wClh9N So if you feel you may be of help, please do not hesitate to get into contact or pay a visit to the centre

An office move puts smiles on faces
A massive thank you to Foster Care Associates - FCA who, due to an office move, has generously donated office furniture, comfy chairs but far more excitingly: an air hockey table! Competition to get to the hockey table is fierce and it has been much used by clients and staff alike.
And the recycling of the furniture didn’t stop there: St Wilfrid’s was then able to pass on 40 chairs to local community charity The Furnival.
... The charity world at its best: sharing, recycling and putting smiles on people’s faces.

Our clients are really enjoying our healthy salad option but we are running very low on tins of tuna, sweetcorn and salad cream. Can you help? Donations can be brought in Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. Thank you.

Mental Health Awareness Week and it’s staff versus clients ‘Games Afternoon’ here at the Centre.
What better way to spend the afternoon than playing traditional board games, pool, darts and air hockey. And eat a MASSIVE 4.5 kg bar of Toblerone (kindly donated)...fear not, we haven’t eaten it all.
Fun, fun, fun and plenty of laughter!

A massive thank you to all of our wonderful supporters who braved the night sleeping in our car park to help raise money for St Wilfrid’s.
A memorable and eventful evening, starting with a spot of live music before indulging in some delicious donated hot soup from Silversmiths Restaurant with fresh bread from Forge Bakehouse before heading out to the car park to sleep to the dulcet sounds of abusive passers-by and heavy traffic. Our car park was temporarily turned into an ou...tdoor dormitory.
@lizzydavison @wildhorizenyoga got everyone’s limbs going with a spot of early morning yoga and a hot bacon buttie helped get our weary folk on their way.
Whilst we can never recreate what it’s like to sleep rough,we think that our supporters had a very good attempt and we all had plenty of time to reflect about the 4,500 people who Sleep rough every night.
