Nice to be featured in The Northern Echo this week. We use Acorn Dairy produce in many of our desserts and gelato as well as in our Railtown Coffee. It’s important to us to use local businesses where we can.

With numerous bland Italian restaurants dotted all over darlington Stable hearth stands out on its own. Authentic, delicious,

quality ingredients simply prepared and amazing value for money. Pizza was the best I’ve had since Italy, actually better in some cases. Oh and for the love of god make sure you get the homemade chips with flavoured salt: you will not regret it.

What a lovely experience, beautiful pizza's, attentive staff and a vibrant friendly atmosphere. Looking forward to going back with the rest of the family

We went last night on the off chance we could get a table and to our surprise despite the place being absolutely full, the waiter said we could eat at the bar if we were happy to do that. We certainly were more than happy to sit at the bar, it was really nice chatting to the barman and having a relaxed dinner. We had the sharing plate for starter which was amazing, and then pizzas (obviously) for main. Best pizzas around, I can tell you this much. Plus fantastic value for money � I would definitely recommend eating here! 5 stars all day long

We had a perfect meal at Stable Hearth on Wednesday evening - the restaurant is modern and clean, the staff are all very professional, helpful and friendly, and the pizzas are absolutely sensational! We'll definitely be back and can't recommend Stable Hearth enough, thanks again �

Perfect pizza. Impeccable service. Chips from heaven. What an outstanding place. This isn't just another pizza place. This is the best pizza restaurant by far. The attention to the detail on all the ingredients is astonishing. I've got a feeling this place is going to be busy busy busy. Well done.

Only serve pizzas as a main course, nothing else but what fabulous, tasty pizzas with the freshest of ingredients. And the salted caramel dessert was out of this world. Would thoroughly recommend it

Managed to get a table last minute, all the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The tables were all full and there was a wait for the food but everything is fresh and worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back

Lives up to hype. Great service from front of house Charles and knowledgable barman Will. Pizzas are the best outside Italy, washed down with chilled prosecco! A zillion times nicer than Pizza Express!

Last night was our first visit and Stable Hearth did not disappoint. Every mouthful was a joy; loved the courgette flowers, the pizzacwas bang on and the grappa berries with ice cream was a perfect end. We will be back soon.

I don’t normally write reviews as I think people should experience things themselves and not be influenced by other peoples views but What a little gem Darlington has just received in stable hearth. Who would of thought going out for abit of pizza with the wife could be so good. The staff where great managing to Shoe horn us in last min, without any fuss, the atmosphere was so laid back and friendly and although been asked to bare with as they’ve just opened and still finding their feet the night went without any hiccups. The food was even better!! Not a crumb left

Fabulous X 5 stars from me, great food, great service, great place , no rush to eat , def the best place place in town to have a lovely evening ...

Eaten here 3 times now and it seems to get better and better each time!



The Cor Blimey pizza is absolutely delicious, pizza is my favourite food and nothing compares to this!

Came to Stable Hearth for the first time last night with 2 of my girlfriend's. The pizzas were beautiful! I'm gluten free so at times, find it hard to get anything tasty and a bread that doesn't resemble cardboard!!, being gluten free is so difficult at times. However, not here! The gluten free pizza base was beautiful. Thank you, I'll definitely be back ���

A really good meal here tonight with delicious food and great atmosphere. Easy and fuss free catering for my gluten, onion and garlic free requirements - can definitely recommend.

We had lunch for 5 yesterday. We loved it! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Proper artisan pizza dough with amazing toppings. So pleased to find you in the centre of town now as Gainford was a bit of a trek (but still worth it!). Wishing you lots of luck - sure you won’t need it!

Another lovely meal, you can’t argue with the wood fire pizza! Staff friendly but you have to work hard to wave them down. But well worth the visit, always look forward to it.

5 of us went went for a meal last night. Great service and we really liked the atmosphere. Slight mistake with my order but this was rectified very quickly. Pizzas were lovely and the Parmesan and truffle chips were fab too! Not overpriced either. I would definitely come back.

Not the first time the front of house in Stable Hearth has done the place such a dis service! His customer service skills are appalling! Twice I have been in to enquire about food and collection and being no more than 2 foot away from me fails to acknowledge and talk to me. Tonight went in to enquire about take away pizzas, 6 which is a good order, young lads enquires with front of house who is now about 24 inches away and screws his face up and clearly expresses his disregard that we even asked! Yet rather than turn the 12 degrees to his left to face me and explain nicely (I would have understood) he didn’t even acknowledge my presence and tells the young lad what to say to me!! I’m 2 foot away man acknowledge me!!! Utterly rude! And this is the second time he has done the same thing! Don’t care how good your pizzas are the attitude of this guys stinks to the point I’ll not be back now! Good service is about the little things, sadly lacking here right now!
