I recently assisted a young couple buying their first home together in Surrey Quays. This wasn’t an area that they were familiar with but love the easy links to the city but also the proximity to Shad Thames and being able to cycle to the green spaces of Greenwich. There is a lovely canal walk to Rotherhithe station which is on the overground as well, and they felt it was an area which would suit them when they did decide to have a baby.
