Poor abandoned Ethel was found on the streets and very kindly Poole Road vets have been looking after her and giving her lots of love and cuddles.
Ethel will be coming to us tomorrow but really need a temporary foster home.

Foster home required.
Kovu will become your best friend instantly, with his huge grin and copious amounts of kisses and cuddles when he meets you. He is 6 years old & loves affection and lots of cuddles. He is calm in the house & loves loves loves his walks, his favourite place is a quiet beach or river where he can swim with his ball. Fetch is his favourite game and he will do anything for food. He knows basic commands and enjoys to do them when asked. He is house trained. H...e loves sunbathing in the garden for hours. He loves to be with you on the sofa or bed and enjoys very close company. He is fine being left on his own in the house for a couple hours as long as there is no food to find and eat as he can get quite mischievous. He is a very strong dog on the lead but is well behaved on walks and has excellent recall. He loves nothing more to curl up by your feet or on them and snooze the evening away. He needs a fun loving family who loves cuddles just as much as he does.

Staffie's are such a loving loyal breed.

They truly deserve all the love in the world!!!

They were very professional at all times and very supportive. They made some connections but unable to help re home my boy but we're always trying every route they could. Professional, polite and passionate. If you do need to re home a staffie or want to re home one these ladies are the ones to choose and trust.

The dog show was well worth our travel from Weymouth with our staffy boy Hatton. Such a great charity met some wonderful people keep up the good work!!!

Nicest most caring people you could ever find Calli and her team do amazing things, especially trying to remove the stigma that Staffie's have about them. They are the most snuggly and cuddly and soppy furbabies that I have ever met x

My son had a really difficult decision to give up Bobby who was like his baby after 6 years. He was having to go to Australia and no one in family could take him in . Contacted this brilliant organisation after a few failures Bobby is now happily in his new home. My son still keeps in contact misses him like mad but he is happy knowing Bobby is happy.

Just got our puppy from this lovely charity, they are excellent, supportive and very loving of the dogs they rescue!

It was 2 years ago today that Staffie & Stray Rescue gave us our beautiful and crazy dog Darcy. I cannot praise this organisation enough. Their commitment and devotion to the dogs that come into their care is second to none. They make 110% effort to ensure each dog finds the best possible new home and continue to provide support after re-homing for as long as it is needed. I adopted my girl Lucky two and a half years ago from SSR and Calli does a great job. It saddens me to see people leaving negative comments on here when they are outside of the rehoming radius. This is an exceptionally small charity that wants the best for all the dogs they rehome, which means they are only able to fully support new owners that are within a certain area. Keep up the great work Calli and don't let the negative people get you down.!!

Got my dog Shiloh from Staffie and Stray Rescue and they are so supportive and everyone in the organisation tries so hard, it's wonderful.

Fully support this rescue. They are doing a very hard job . Agree that they need to home within a radius as the rescue dogs and foster/adopter need back up and full support from the local help available. It would be difficult to monitor a rescue case if homed miles away. There are staffies country wide needing help please if you want to help foster or adopt help one local to you if you are out of area. This is in place for safety of dog . Please give the support they deserve.

Fantastic organisation all the people we met during the process of becoming foster carers were so supportive. They are truly dedicated to giving the best love care and attention to all the dogs which come into their care. We fell in love with our first foster dog so much so we have adopted him. Calli you are amazing as are all that are involved with SSR . You are doing a great job in promoting such a misunderstood breed. We can't thank you enough . Very very disappointed with Staffie and Stray rescue. Enquired about a post by email, nothing, re-sent my email, nothing, re-sent my email again, got a very rude response, saying an email was sent, but because I am out of the re-homing area I can't adopte (that was the content of the email). Asked for the email to be re-sent so to I could read it, and got another VERY VERY RUDE email saying, all the information is on the website. SHOCKING!!! Dogs lives are at risk, and a loving, keen, and motivated family, would like to adopted and take care and love a dog that has no one and nothing and that is your response!!!! Yes I understand I am out of the re-homing area, but if you used your heads and changed your policies, you would have much more success stories in re-homing these poor homeless dogs, if you thought of liasing with other adoption centres in areas that people are wanting to adopted from so a home check can take place, again you would have happy family families and very happy dogs, it's a no brainer. You need to teach your employees customer service and response times. Yes I understand and appreciate that you are all very busy taking in and taking care of dogs, but if you can take time to post a post on your site asking for help to re-home a dog, then surely you have time to reply to email (politely). I am so disappointed words cannot express. Not even a number for me to contact you to discuss further and have a proper explanation. Staffie and Stray rescue, you say you are bursting at the seems and struggle to take dogs, change your adoption process and re-think and you will have alot more happy dogs and happy families. One very sad family and another dog left long without a loving home �
