The Staffordshire Commissioner’s Office has welcomed the findings of today’s report by HMICFRS, which praises the work of Staffordshire Police as ‘good’ across all areas.
Staffordshire Commissioner Matthew Ellis said: ‘It’s good to see the independent inspectorate are so positive about policing in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. It is well deserved and the force is doing a good job.
‘Staffordshire is one of only four areas across England and Wales where crime is falling a...nd the work of the police has rarely been so important, from being a reassuring presence in communities to protecting the public, if needed, in the most extreme circumstances.’

The council tax bills we receive each year contain the amount to be paid locally towards the cost of all councils, the police and the fire and rescue service.
It's the Commissioner's responsibility to decide the budgets and the amounts contributed by council tax payers for policing and the fire and rescue service.
Take part in our consultation, designed to give everyone in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent the chance to share their views on the amount we all pay: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5VS7ZTQ< br>

Sadly scam victims often feel shame and embarrassment, but you have the power to change this. The more people talk about scams, the more we can take away the stigma that surrounds them.
Friends Against Scams has joined forces with Neighbourhood Watch to encourage people to learn how to protect and prevent themselves and others from becoming victims of scams. Take the online awareness session here (20 minutes): http://ow.ly/J8mu50vpocP.
... Together, we can take a stand against scams!
