We visited the open day with our daughter yesterday. She will hopefully be starting uni in Sept 2018, so we are starting to look early. We were all very impressed with the campus and accommodation and the course. We have a few more to look at but Staffordshire is definitely a good contender.

We visited as part of my son's offer holder experience and I was very impressed with the layout of the campus and the facilities. I admit I don't have anything to compare it to, however I tend to go with my gut, and I had a very good vibe from the whole set up. I expect my son will be very happy there and now I can picture where he is.

Visited the open day on Sunday, from start to finished I'm really impressed. The students were friendly, well organised tours. The lecturers talks were really fun and interesting, visiting all types of accomodation too. After visiting Keele with huge disappointment, boring talks on uni figures, and not selling the specific subjects my son was interested in. Well done.

The uni has a nice atmosphere, good accommodation, my son enjoyed his offer holder day& the taster session put on by the games design department. We enjoyed our time there and suspect we will be back in September

User

My son has an unconditional offer and couldn't be more delighted that the course, campus and facilities more than lived up to expectations. He can't wait for September and uni life to begin at Staffs

Loved it. It's clear that it's a university that is being invested in! Clean and bright and the weather yesterday was amazing which added to it. My son loved the Cadman Suite and it's confirmed to him he's chosen the right course at the right uni. The tutors we heard speak were so passionate about their subject (Games Design). The students and other staff we met were so helpful and friendly too. Roll on 2018!!

Looking for a housemate for Sept to share in a 3 bed house. Newlands Street - Less than 5 min walk from Stoke Campus. Double room. 45 per week (55 including bills). Internet included. Parking available (you need a permit which is 17 for the year). There is an initial deposit for the landlord which is 200, but you get it back with no damage after the year. Must enjoy drinking ;D and heavy metal music ;D ;D and up for sharing with 2 fine art students. Message meh

I was visiting with my son Cameron as this was his 1st open day. Friendly, most welcoming, and modern University. Lovely tour given by a 3rd year student (in a black beany hat). She was a delight. Impressed with staff, who couldn't do enough to answer all questions raised by Cameron. Well done Staffordshire University staff and students. Cameron was and is keen to go to this Uni.

I currently study at Staffordshire university. I am due to graduate this year actually. The last stretch in a BA Hons Business Management Degree. Keep thinking to myself "Thank F'k for that" tbh. It feels like it has been a long, but interesting journey, and eye opening as to how the world really works. This journey has shattered the illusions that many of us see day to day, in the business environment, which means that life will never be the same again. I've met some truly wonderful, intelligent, remarkable people along the way. Forget the bad sheite you keep hearing, its not that bad. People only ever focus on the bad anyway, they lose sight of the good that the university does. What they don't tell you is that the staff go out of their way to help you, not to the extent that they'll tell you the answers to your examination questions, but hey, did you honestly expect them too? Ok, so the university itself, doesn't exactly have the same culture that Harvard or Oxford has, in terms of history and all that, but that doesn't mean that it's any less of a professional institute. Staffs University just doesn't have the same branding that Oxford has. That's the only difference between us and them, the branding, the badge.

I attended the offer day yesterday with my son. We have looked around a few different Universities but nothing compared/matched the course my son has chosen to study at Staffordshire. The campus and grounds are fab, great university.

User

Fantastically well run open day! Thanks for making it so informative and for all the helpful students who kept us on track! What a great place to study and awesome facilities! Amazing! #lovinggraphicdesign

We went to the holder day yesterday. I was really impressed with the talks on the course and the facilities of the uni. I was unimpressed with the on suite student accommodation. And found yesterday totally non disabled friendly. I would of liked some info on liberty court as it is on the website. Also I asked a question to student finances and it took 4 people to answer the question which when I relayed to my son didn't make much sense.

We visited the uni yesterday (26/11). We went to the computer science talks and were very impressed with what they had to offer, the links in to industry and the friendliness of the staff and students. We also went to the SU bar for food and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and price of the food and the professional yet welcoming manner of the students running it. Definitely putting the uni of Staffs on the ucas form :)

User

We had great day visiting the open day yesterday and to reassure us that our son's unconditional offer of place is the right place for his further studies:)

User

Good directions and friendly people. Shame the food court didn't extend - it was closed by 4pm so popped in the shop for a quick bite. The Verve was deluged.
