Stage 1 Cycles

Our Blackpool to Whitby and return cycling team and crew ate here on Friday 22nd Sept and again on the return leg Sunday 24th. Food was really good as was the service. Nothing too much trouble including running bike repairs. Would highly recommend. We will be back for sure with or without the bikes!

I have just completed a corporate fund raising day with Mike at Stage 1 Cycles. Mike spent time with me before the event reviewing the ability of the group and then planned an appropriate route suited to everyone. On arrival there was plenty of parking and our preordered lunch was ready to enjoy. Mike helped everybody get the right sized bike and helmets before giving everybody one to one tuition on how to use the bikes and get the most enjoyment out of the ride. 12 of us took part and the route took in some great scenery with a combination of on and off road cycling. A great day was had by all. The planning and care taken really made the event run smoothly and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Mike for future corporate events.

Fantastic guys! Managed to break my rear mech hangar starting the Buttertubs climb, called in and Mike instantly put the bike on his stand and got to work. 45 minutes later all fixed.
Really helpful team, Mark happy to order the correct part and ship out to me, and their advice was excellent.
Lovely coffee shop in house too so easy to refuel whilst waiting.
Made it back to Carlisle safely with no further mishaps. Next time I'm in Hawes I'll pop in and give them some more business (hopefully not a repair to be fair!).
Long live independent shops.

Great cafe and reasonably priced bike shop with welcoming and knowledgeable staff

Really knowledgeable and quick bike servicing, helpful local riding advice, well stocked shop, good coffee. They do decent looking bike hire too, though we didn't need it. All in the heart of fantastic cycling country. Good reason to make Hawes a base or staging point for a Dales cycling holiday. Recommended.

Fantastic service - stopped here on C2C ride at the weekend and even though it was near closing, mechanic happy to help us. Broken spoke fixed and then worked late to diagnose and fix a sticky brake cable. Thanks!!
