In their ADT lessons, Year Five are learning how to use clay slabs to form a pot. They developed their understanding of the correct terminology for the stages of slab pot making and how to use rollers and rolling guides to flatten the clay. Following on from their studies of various fruits, the pupils are recreating the textural and sculptural forms to decorate their pots.

Year 1 went on a walk to our local park yesterday morning and saw many signs of spring! This really helped to bring their learning about the seasons to life. The children also used their geographical skills and surveyed the local environment. They then created a tally chart of the living things they could see. As ever, the children were impeccably well behaved and demonstrated the Staines Prep Way to the local residents. #springtime #nature #outdoorlearning
