Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Harvest Food Bank collection. Year 6 helped pack it all up for collection tomorrow.

Well done to the Stingray Class for raising a huge £249.96 at their Macmillan Coffee Morning yesterday. Thank you to all parents, grandparents and friends who also donated to make it possible. Amazing achievement and a fun morning had by all!

Another school year has passed and we have closed our doors for the last time for this academic year. We have enjoyed every minute of working with you all. Today we have said some sad goodbyes to pupils and staff. Good luck to the class of 2018 as they move on to secondary school - we are proud of them all and feel privileged to have worked with them. Goodbye and good luck to Mrs Dennis and Mr Littlewood who we have all enjoyed working with. And finally, good luck to all pupils who have left us today from other year groups, who are also moving on to the next stage in their educational journey. Have an amazing Summer!

Year 6 had a great visit to Bedlington Academy today. In particular, the cake and custard was a hit. We even managed to buy our own bus tickets and keep hold of them all day. A reminder: The children going to Bedlington in September should make their own way there tomorrow for a full transition day. Lunch can be purchased for £3 or the children can take their own packed lunch. Have a great day, Mrs McLeod will be around to keep you company.

Year 3 and 4 thoroughly enjoyed their plastic recycling week and produced an amazing display of their creations from recycled plastics. They all worked really hard and wrote some wonderful newspaper articles.

A huge well done to our Year 5s for a brilliant performance at their dance festival this morning.

We have now received several reports that there is a child knocking on doors in the areas around school asking residents to sponsor him. He claims to be raising money for Stakeford school but does not have an official sponsor form. Please can you let friends and family who live locally know that we are not doing any sponsored events at the moment and all events would be supported by an official sponsor form. Thank you.

After a superb dress rehearsal on Friday, our Year 5 children are ready to take part in their dance festival. So, who are the best dancers? Boys or Girls? Let's find out with a dance off.

Reminder: please come and join us this Friday (9th March) from 3.15-4.30pm at our very first Mother's Day Gift Event. You will be able to purchase gifts for loved ones, have a go at our tombola and raffle and catch up with friends over a cup of tea or coffee.

During the day, we have continued to monitor the weather forecasts, news and alerts from the Local Authority. Together with other schools in the area we have made the decision to remain closed on Friday 2nd March, for the safety of pupils, parents and staff. We apologise for and continued inconvenience but hope that the early warning gives you time to plan childcare. We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday.
