Ok gents the match is this friday and there are a few changes first ..... the match will end at 1,30pm sunday (due to football coming home) prizes will be given as soon as everyone is ready or at 2.30 you will be allowed to use floating pellets (not dog biscuits ) this is simply because of weather and to try and get a few bites during day time .... we will be running as raffle to raise a little more money for charity £1 per ticket , prizes value just over £300 and we have spread it out so everyone gets a chance , rules all team will only have at most 15 raps of water this will leave room for fish to have a safe zone club rules apply its simple there will be photo copied sheets for all teams just so you no and there is no confusion on the day (James) 2 rods per person , you can spod and can use pults no nuts , please can all teams have a unhooking mat and a retaining sling just in case you have to wait a while for your fish to be weighed . all fish must be verified by the team next to you and signed , there will be a charity box at the draw and if any of you are to lazy to carry you gear to your swim for a donation we can get it transported for you , the weather is against us but most of all lets all have abit of fun raise some money for a good cause

first time on wter bloody lovly plce got everything for a good session toilets showers café tackle shop real good venues hard path round the lake big clean tidy swims great bailiff nuffin else to say realy

Wonderful place, clean, very friendly ambient...one of my favourite places in the Town.

Some good sport to have if you put some time and thought into what you are doing Steve Reeves night bailiff at Stanborough park

Prices are fair and it's a good local lake to fish

Love fishing here shame they don’t run more competitions

It's a lovely park I go quiet a lot . There is lots of green belt as well as a large lake .

Had an amazing day here yesterday. Never been to Welwyn garden city before but will Definitely be returning!

Great fishery with amazing helpful bailiffs !!

Fished it from a young teen and the bailiffs been there for as long as i can remember and always been helpful and polite, cant ask for any more than that.

Came here Tuesday for 2 nights fishing with hubby and 4 children must say how lovely it is here we have to travel from Bedfordshire I know it's not that fare but it's so friendly and my children were welcomed it's so hard to fined somewhere these days to be able to take children and be welcomed

A stunning lake with plenty of hidden treasures if you put in the time

great lake for fishing, walking with dog or not, lovely cafe area/food water sports, lovely picnicking areas :} Parking Expensive though, :{ Stops people going sometimes :{

I found a Nash bite alarm on a bank stick on the last bay riverside back of the lake! I have it here now. so if you did, shout me on here. I know what the guy looks like as i fished opposite. It was late Sunday so couldn't had it in.

My first visit Had a really lovely day great walk & nice cafe will definitely be returning there x

I would give it 5 stars if the bailiff weren't a bloody noddy fisherman gooner....lol see u soon m8

Good Day out fishing shame you have to pay for car park and fishing £7.00 should cover both I think

Fished this lake near the foot bridge on peg 11. hard to keep a swim going on the pole as there are a lot of cormorants diving into the swim

Also spotted a large carp floating dead near the reeds ???
