Went for our slimming world Christmas party.... Food was fab! (missing a Yorkshire pudding) totally enjoyed the service we received from Ben very happy and making sure everyone was happy. Over the moon and will defiantly recommend to friends and future events xx

We all had an excellent time celebrating St. Patrick's night at The Stap. We started early with food which was delicious as always and excellent value for money. The band were amazing and the atmosphere was buzzing. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, a big thank you to them all for looking after a very demanding crowd, they never stopped all night, hope they all got home safe after a very busy long shift. Looking forward to going again,

The Stapleton Arms has lovely friendly relaxed atmosphere. I was served by Adrianna an incredibly polite friendly welcoming young lady who made me feel very comfortable. Incredibly thoughtful customer service after a long day. I felt so relaxed and at home, so much so I thanked the manager! :-)

Now that was what I call a Sunday lunch! A delicious full roast chicken dinner, piping hot throughout, and Apple crumble and custard to finish it off.

I've been coming to the Stap for more years than I care to remember and I can honestly say it is the best it has ever been. Friendly, welcoming and accommodating with staff who cant do enough to make your visit perfect. Food is always well presented with a varied menu available throughout the week. A wide drinks menu also. Great value for money and right on my doorstep.

Lovey meal with my Mam food and staff great only one thing is Mams sight is not as good due to cataracts and she found reading the menu on brown background hard. A lighter background would have been better. That aside she enjoyed our little trip out.

Just had our first Christmas night out with our newly formed community singing group local vocals and I have to say the venue definitely made the night all the staff were great as to the food the games were fun. Would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a great night out x

Had Xmas meal with family and friends, our first time here for Xmas meal definitely won't be the last, table set out lovely and food was very tasty and hot � staff very friendly and helpful...thank you for great service ����

Been going here for 17 years more so over the last 9 with friends and family. Such a great place the staff are excellent and the pub itself is a great set up bar for a normal drinks and football. And the rest have a good family meal. The kitchen staff are great too and the food is good in comparison for pub crub......the only draw back is the beer garden on a summers days....

Always friendly and great pint garden is a sun trap lovely place 👍

1st time visitor last Thursday for tea prior to going to Scream Factory with work colleagues.



we all thought the food was very nice and the pub itself is well done out and staff pleasant. Will definitely go in again if in that neck of the woods.

The 17th Party in the Car Park was a really good family friendly event. It was well organised all round. Of course the beautiful weather helped. Thanks Sue, Shaun, staff, volunteers and of course The Beer Pigs.

Went for Sunday lunch, main was highly disappointing. Beef was supermarket packet like and veg was boiled to mush. Yorkshire was a good old fashioned frozen effort....top marks for a waste of nigh on £8

Following what was a great night having a family get together ( some traveling from Sunderland, staying in a hotel in middlesbrough) I am disgusted to have to say that staff had no problem throwing people out into sub zero temperatures and blizzard conditions who were struggling to get a taxi, comments like “you should have booked a taxi earlier” doesn’t help and “we could get into trouble if the police found out”are ridiculous when you consider that those people could have suffered hypothermia and even death, while the staff stayed inside clearing up, this does nothing to instil a sense of community which is what being a publican is all about, not just take as much money in the till as you can and throw the punters out, where is your community spirit?! You wouldn’t have thrown a dog out in that!!! shame on you!!!�it’s fair enough to say the staff wanted to get home but allowing people to stay in shelter whilst the clearing up is done is human nature and decent people just wouldn’t do that to another human being, god forbid anything had have happened to them you could have been facing a manslaughter charge.

Although I don't expect the best steak for such a cheap price, I expect it to be edible! Every mouthful had to be put back on the plate. And that was what I managed to cut through! One big piece of fat! Although the waitress couldn't apologise enough, the comment from the chef was 'that's the way it's bought In'! Wow..change supplier and your chef! Appalling !
