Starmaker Stage School

Starmaker Stage School meet on Saturdays at South Lake Primary School in Woodley during term time, we teach singing, acting and dancing to children aged 4 to 12.

Starmaker Theatre Company started out in 1988, their numbers soon grew and before they knew it they had a successful theatre school serving Berkshire and surrounding areas. Following on from this in 2015 we opened the doors to our Stage School and our numbers increase week after week.

In 2015 it was decided that we would open up a Stage School to allow children aged 4 plus to experience the world of performing arts whilst building up confidence on and off stage.

Starmaker's ultimate goal is for the children to feed through from Stage School to the main Theatre Company who put on 2-3 professional quality shows a year on big stages throughout the area, this is already happening and we have had children feed through the system.

We currently have five teachers and one teaching assistant, all professionally trained or currently training and all with DBS clearance. Our teachers are all passionate about their industry and whilst most of them are still working professionally in their own industries this makes them very current within their teaching.

We work on memory training with our children so that they are constantly learning all the time, the children do not realise this as it is all done with such fun!
