Today is a day of fantastic news here at the Steakhouse we are making significant steps to further improve our customer experience. As a starting point we are thoroughly delighted to welcome Avelino Goncalves ( Formerly Stagger Inn and Townhouse) to head up our front of house customer service team. went with my boyfriend had the fillet steak and the ribeye was cooked to perfection absolutely delicious and the service was fast and very good we really liked the male bartender who described our pornstar martinis in the different layers etc. was lovely atmoshere great food and service will be back again soon with out a doubt.

Wow amazing food and drinks, can’t fault any of the service � would highly recommend.

I would recommend to the chef to maybe add a large roasted beef tomato with Parmesan as a side. ( tasted in a steak house in Germany and was delicious �)

Would defo recommend this spot. Me and my wife went on Sunday and the staff were really attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. I had the fillet steak and my wife had the vegetarian risotto

Went for valentines night. We were seated at our table and it wasn’t long before someone came over and took our drinks order. There was a call button on the table which is a brilliant idea especially if you wanted to order more drinks. The food was amazing. We had the chateaubriand and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely go again.

We had one of the best ever meals here last Friday! Brilliant service, friendly staff & amazing food. I cannot wait to come back and try some more off the menu!

Visited the Steakhouse on the occasion of my sons 18th birthday, I can only say what a totally amazing evening we had, the food and service were out of this world, the staff could not do enough for us, and their knowledge of their product was impressive, will definitely be visiting again soon.

Very impressed with very helpful and friendly staff, people who are sat on the fence about going should definitely go and try you will not be disappointed! The ribs were gorgeous and the steaks were cooked perfect. Will be visiting again soon �

My other half took me to the Steakhouse for my birthday and we couldn’t fault it... food and cocktails were delicious and the service was fab, the waitresses were so lovely. It’s a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for �

Just home from the most wonderful meal, with excellent service from start to finish.

It goes without saying that Gavin and the team are so attentive and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, but the table service, menu choices and quality of food, most importantly the quality of steak is superb, booked to go back again in 4 weeks was so good � well done to Chequers’s and the team steakhouse xxx

Had a lovely evening here for the official opening evening. All food ordered was lovely. (Although I do feel home made triple cooked chips would suit the menu & restaurant rather than frozen steak chips) Staff very attentive and really friendly. Cocktails were nice. Would definitely recommend and return for another meal. �

First visit here and loved it, service was quick and everyone who served us was lovely. Love the buzzer on the table, think thats a great touch. Didn't wait long for our meal, steak was cooked perfect, sides, sauce all delicious. My sticky toffee pudding was fit!!!! Another plus point for me was that they hadn't got greedy and crammed loads of tables in, lots of space so you didn't feel like u were sat on top of each other.

Finally I get to sit down and enjoy a meal here and it was amazing, the food is top notch and the staff are fab. Call me bias but I cannot complain one bit. Well done Chequers. ��

Fabulous food, excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. The banquet is fantastic value for money and despite 10 very hungry people we still came home with enough leftovers to feed 6 people! The food was never ending and the gin selection great - definitely going again �

Absolutely amazing food, great atmosphere and great service. A little more expensive than your average place around here, but well worth the money.

We did the bottomless brunch, the steak sandwich was delicious. The lady serving (Jen) our drinks was an absolute diamond and seen that we were alway ok and our drinks topped up!



The downfall is a limited options on alcohol & some options we were made to believe were included were not. But we are leaving still severely hydrated �

1st visit and will be returning. Food was delicious and the waiter was very helpful. Just think the lady that took us to our table could of explained the menu to us after asking "is this your 1st time".

Would not go back for food only drink as that was the best thing there, service was good but the food was awful, steak was like old shoe leather and the chips were frozen. Waited 70 minutes for main meal. So wish king Billy would move to dalton or barrow
