Apparently you don't have to be German or a member of the German school community to attend, but the talk is of particular interest for any EU nationals. Please see the invitation below.

OK... it doesn't exactly feel like spring today - but our spring menu is out and hopefully next week you will feel again like trying our brand new plaice dish and our surprise green creation for vegetarians !

Will our food have a chance to get here on time?

We love the atmosphere inside the restaurant, and the lovely views of the river from the tables outside. Staff are friendly and customer service is good. Food is awesome too! Always leave wanting to come back again.

We like the German touches and the food is great. Good choice of beef and wine and a right by the Thames. What's not to like.

Stein's, Kingston is a great German restaurant to share lunch or dinner with a partner, friends, family or other diners. The food is exceptionally delicious so book early to avoid disappointment. The is a diner posting this review not the restaurant. Go enjoy, I did!

Oh die Frolig, Oh die Frolig is a baie lekker ding. It was amazing waiter was a darling. Beer was amazing. Hax or pork knuckle was gorgeous with saurkrout. Outside seating has epic views. Think I found my regulated Kingston spot pop in if you get a chance you will not be disappointed. If you wanna go for a diner for a few hours book before hand it's very popular and busy and have a amazing atmosphere. 10/10

Lovely restaurant on the Thames, great food drink and view of the river

I would thoroughly recommend Stein's German restaurant in Kingston, I was there yesterday with my two daughters for a mother's day meal out. My mother is from Kiel in the North of Germany so we are familiar with this cuisine and knew what to choose. The rustic interior is lovely, like a log cabin! Next time we visit it would be nice to sit outside overlooking the riverside in the sunshine and hopefully warm weather. Dankeschon Stein's!

I will definitely recommend this place to all of my friends. Really unique place with a traditional Bavarian food. Portion were huge and there is no way anyone will leave hungry � Absolutely delicious!!!! Definitely will go back ����

Fantastic food, lovely staff and we managed to sit outside even though it wasn't as warm and sunny as it has been. This wasn't our first visit and it definitely won't be the last!

Fantastic bar restaurant. Great selection of German and Bavarian food and beers. The Weissbier was great. Great outside terrace where you can just watch boats going past on the Thames and people watch. A really nice ambience where you can chill and while away the hours. Friendly and efficient staff. Can't fault it !! Great job. Well done. I visit Kingston a lot and always drop in for a few hours .... And a few hours more.

And early Mother's Day gift from my daughter, this wasn't my first meal here and most certainly won't be my last. Despite being very busy, we enjoyed excellent service on the terrace overlooking the river, and a magnificent sharing platter of the German food we know and love well. All in all, a first class meal. Oh yes - the beer was perfect!!!

Absolutely fantastic place to eat, drink and meet with your friends and family, I definitely recommend this place if you want to good eat and don't feel hungry �
