Stevie 'S Childminding Services

My name is Stevie Head, I’m 34 years old and I’m new to childminding but not new to working with children. My experience working with children involves being a volunteer for Brompton Westbrook Sure Start centre, where I would set up sessions with the leader and engage in activities with the children and parents, I was a volunteer at Sunshine’s Pre-School which is part of Brompton Westbrook Primary School and volunteered as a Homestart volunteer supporting families.

My experience as a mum and a sure start volunteer has been a great advantage in helping me with my chosen profession.

I have three children, Ellena who is 9 years old, Alfie who is 6 years old and Molly who is 3 years old. I am married to Jason; we have been together for 16 years of which we have been married for seven years. I come from a big family and have many nieces and nephews who are all very different from one and other, family is important to me and I value each and every one of them.

To become a childminder, I have completed my CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare (QCF) with PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years). Through the children’s centre I have completed many courses that has given me invaluable knowledge and experience to use when working with children.
