Steyning Medical Practice

Steyning Medical Practice is located in the heart of the South Downs, in the peaceful village of Steyning, West Sussex. With just over 12, 000 patients, we aim to to provide high quality, accessible care, in a safe, responsive and courteous manner.

The present practice was opened at its current location 1973, being a continuation of individual practices within the Steyning & Upper Beeding areas. The Medical Practice expanded in 1974 and again in 1980 and 1991, before the current, purpose-built Health Centre was opened in 2008.

The practice purchased a branch surgery in Dawn Close, Upper Beeding in 1985, greatly improving the facilities and healthcare provision for Beeding residents.

Alongside our nine GPs, works a large team of Health Professionals - Nurses, Health Visitors, Speech Therapists, Counsellors, Chiropodists, Physiotherapists, Midwives - backed up by the support staff of Practice Administrators, Receptionists, Secretaries and Telephonists. Together we try to run the Health Centre as professionally and efficiently as we can, to provide our patients with the best possible standards of healthcare.

We are an experienced and dedicated teaching practice, and has over the years trained a high number of doctors in general practice, the majority of whom practice as GPs around the UK.
