Excited about our new shape Ben bags! Lots of areas covered with these, to include shape, Space & measure. For those who are EYFS following me this outcome is set to be removed from the early learning goals under the revised document) ☺️ however we shall still continue to deliver this I’m sure in our everyday play.

We have a range of children within our setting with English as an additional language, supporting their reading and literacy skills is important. We have started to gather some books in the children’s home language. We have invited one parent in to read at story time in Spanish #Supporting #Workinginpartnership #Literacy #Reading #Eyfs

Oh no children! That mischievous Elf is back...... he has his Santa cam with him, it’s flashing as we speak! He did however provide us with the most wonderful “Elf” breakfast today 🎅🏽🎅🏽🎅🏽 don’t forget parents we have our setting Christmas party on 20th December. 🎄

This week is all about road safety, but sadly for this recycling team they parked on a double yellow line! The traffic enforcement officer took a photograph of the vehicle and stuck a parking ticket on the window! 😂😂😂😂 #eyfs #roadsafetyweek

Today’s activity has so many open ended play outcomes. Children learn through schematic play, enveloping & transporting are just a few ways. We have many different textures to explore, labels for name recognition, options for role play, good language opportunities, both fine and gross motor skills The little ones adored this today and the mess was just as adorable! 🤪🤪😁😁

Highchair-antics - good for fine motor skills this child had lots of fun and remained focused on task for a good length of time even when I moved the activity elsewhere 👏🏻

Nursery rhyme week we are supporting knitted current buns! In the bakers shop 🙂

Today we took the children out into the community on a poppy trail! We asked the children to find as many as they could until they finally led us to the gentleman from the Royal British Legion selling Poppy’s for the poppy appeal. We gave the children some coins to place into his donation pot so they could understand the concept of money and he gave them all a poppy individually. He was thrilled that the children were being shown the significance of Remembrance Day and he chatted to them so politely, he even raised his cap to me when I spoke to him.
