Last week NQA conducted a surveillance audit against our ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environment and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety certifications. The audit was successful with no major or minor non-conformities raised, and we are pleased to report that we have retained our certifications to all three standards. Our 'non-rail' civils team are currently delivering a project for Stobart Energy to enable the business to store more wood for fuel to service the nearby Combined Heat and Power plant (CHP). The concrete slab is 2000m2 with 400m3 being laid over two days. In addition to this, the team are installing new drainage and ducting to the site, relocating the existing welfare unit and diverting services to the new location. All works are being carried out to minimise disruption to our client and their operations.

Our works on Arnside Station footbridge are well underway. This exciting project is being delivered for Network Rail’s North West & Central works delivery team. The scheme involves the refurbishment works to the footbridge including steel repairs and painting of the bridge itself. Our works will be vital in extending the footbridge’s life span while also improving the overall aesthetics for station users and local residents alike. Our delivery strategy involved constructing a temporary footbridge to maintain access for passengers between the two platforms while we carry out our works to the main station footbridge.
