Stocker Dance Academy

We have a tap challenge for you, this can be done by all abilities/ages and can be done as a family or just the students (no tap experience necessary and no tap shoes needed dont worry). We have slowed down the single timestep and break for you to learn/teach your parents all you need to do is follow the slow version of the video and if you feel ready build up to the faster version. I have filmed it from both the front and side so you can see the details. Good luck and have fun dont forget to let me know how you get on 😉

Just been catching up on paperwork and I realised with all the changes recently that I missed a birthday just after we had to close!!

As promised in today's tap classes I have made videos and posted the tap routines on the private page for the children to follow if they would like to. Also keep an eye out for this weeks competitions and challenges in the next few days xx

Here is a little exercise we had been doing in our ballet classes to warm up our feet and legs and strengthen the feet, legs, ankles and core muscles. Why not give it a go and see who can stay on demi pointe the longest without bringing your heels down, no holding on allowed !! Would be great if you could share your pictures/videos with us x

Hi everyone , hope you are all well. I have had a few people asking for info on the next month so I have sent an email out this morning, sorry for the subject matter there is a reason we have Allan in accounts, I much prefer teaching to the other side of it!!
With regard to the classes moving forward I will continue to post links to open classes (for everyone) on our private page, you can take part in these even if you dont normally do this class they are fun classes to bri...ng a little light relief! I will also email or put in the girls what's app groups links to their specific grade classes.
Lauren and I will work this week on some extra videos for the children to follow which will be posted on here and Miss Shannon has sent me some notes for the Acrobatic arts students to be practising at home too.

Just wanted to say a huge well done to everyone who joined in today (mums and dads too) your children are amazing and adapting so well to our new class situation!! See you all next week xx

Last night we held our first online classes with our seniors, we had a great time despite a few hiccups along the way but we are adapting to this new situation and doing our best so please bear with me through the weeks! The main thing was we got to see each other have a quick catch up, enjoy our dancing together and had fun! Hope to see some more of you over the coming weeks, I will post relevant links on the private page and also email them out. Stay safe everyone x

Have just finished moving my bedroom furniture round ready for our first online classes tonight for our seniors! I will send a link out tonight for a freestyle class on tomorrow 4.15-4.45 suitable for boys and girls from age 3. Unfortunately for obvious reasons we cannot do the acrobatic arts classes online but we will be sharing stretching ideas/videos and simple exercises that can be done at home x

Just a quick note for moving forward the videos I post on the page will be fun new, dances for all abilities to enjoy any time ,with some technique exercises and stretching classes and the live online classes will be the work we do in the studio in their normal classes. Hope that makes sense xx

Our first couple of videos are going on the private page soon. I have choreographed and filmed 2 routines one for our foundation, prep and primary students and one for our grade 1 and 2 students as due to the new restrictions they missed their classes today, but anyone can join in if they want to. Please make sure they have enough space and are in a safe environment and are being supervised while enjoying the videos.
It did feel very strange dancing in the studio on my own b...ut I have to say a huge thank you to Lauren for being there , we certainly had fun!! (I am sure she kept the outtakes on her phone for future use lol !!) We are still learning/getting used to it all so please bear with us this is new territory for us !!
