You can still sign up to our two-hour Effective Living workshops, which are running throughout the year. Topics include 'Problem solving', 'Stop worrying' and 'Body language and communication'. You can opt into any number of the workshops, and they've had great feedback so far >

It was great to meet with Vik from Coffee, chill & spill today, to hear more about their great local work supporting maternal and parental wellbeing.
The group meets weekly, Thursdays 9.30am-11.30am in Heaton Norris.

Loneliness Awareness Week begins today. 'Loneliness increases the likelihood of premature mortality by 26%', so it's vital that there are services out there to connect more of us to our communities.
Our new Isolation and Social Engagement Service, delivered in partnership with Age UK Stockport, is there to help anyone (in SK postcodes, aged 16+) who feels lonely or isolated to expand their networks and connect more >

On Sunday, Life Leisure's first ever Body Combatathon will be raising funds to support our services. It's set to be a brilliant event.

Today we celebrated The Petersgate Tap's most recent fundraiser for us - their music quiz raised a brilliant £800. Thanks so much to Richard, Alan and Chris (pictured), as well as everyone else who was involved in making it another fantastic night!

We had a great evening raising awareness for Carers Week with Signpost Stockport for Carers and Stockport Council, down at Stockport Train Station.
Carers Week is an annual event which raises awareness of caring, highlights challenges unpaid Carers can face, and recognises the vital contribution they make to families and communities everywhere. It also helps people who don't see themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as Carers, and to access support.
Thanks... to everyone who stopped by to say hello at the Station tonight.

Our Carers Support Team are looking forward to welcoming people to our office today for their #CarersWeek events.
The men's Carers drop-in is from 11am-1pm, so there is still time to set off over to us for that - we will also have a Guest Speaker from Men in Sheds within this event.
Later on, 2pm-3pm, is the Carers mindfulness taster, and there are still a few spaces up for grabs - please give us a call on 0161 480 7393 to book.
... We will also be at Stockport Train Station with Signpost Stockport for Carers from 4pm to raise more awareness of the vital roles of Carers.

Thank you and well done to the brilliant B2B International team who raised £1155.22 to support our local services by completing the Great Manchester Run last month.

This week is Carers Week. Why not check out our Stockport-based events for Carers - there are still spaces on our mindfulness taster and Carers lunch, and then the men's drop-in and train station stand are available for all to drop by anyway > http://www.stockportmind.org.uk/2019/05/c arers-week-2019/

It's #VolunteersWeek, and we wouldn't exist as an organisation without the support of our loyal team of Volunteers. Yesterday we held a celebration event, to recognise and thank them for their vital contribution and commitment > http://www.stockportmind.org.uk/2019/…/ volunteers-week-2019/

Our next Hearing Voices group is on Wednesday 12th June, 10.30-12.30. This is a safe space for people with personal experience of voices and visions, as well as those who support them, to just drop in and get support.

The Petersgate Tap was really busy last night for the music quiz in aid of our services. Thanks go out to the pub for hosting, to everyone who attended and/or bought raffle tickets, all the wonderful round sponsors and prize donators, and especially to quizmaster Richard who was wonderful yet again. A great time was had by all, and we are looking forward to confirming the final total soon.
