Mid Week Glamping Offer

User

What a wonderful place. Beautiful location, very clean and well looked after...but most of all the hosts went over and above to make our visit a lovely one. It was my mum's birthday and i booked 2 glamping pods for the night. It was during a cold spell and they even turned the heating on for us before we arrived so it would be nice and cosy. They offered us a fire pit for extra cost which was wonderful and told us about the nice walks by the stream....we took some wonderful pics. The money for the showers and hairdryer to the air ambulance is a great idea. The showers were the best I've seen at a campsite...lovely and hot and very clean. Thank you for having us....we will definitely come back.

User

What a lovely, friendly campsite. The Wardens were very friendly and accommodating to our requirements. We had an overnight stay last night in a 2man tent. But unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side when trying to cook on the portable stove outside. The Wardens were very accommodating and let us cook in the campers kitchen area where there Were all the amenities you could need on holiday. Fridge, freezer (for ice blocks) washing machine, microwave! It was fab. The even had washing up liquid! The area was kept clean and there were even free range fresh eggs to purchase for only 20p each. Ideal if you ran out of things for breakfast one morning!

The showers and toilets were a very good standard and kept reasonably clean considering how many people use it. The recycling section was very organised unlike other camp sites I’ve visited this was the best.

The only thing I could say, it would be handy to have a bin in the campers kitchen area. Other than that, we had a lovely time and will definitely camp here again.

User

We pulled up in our vw without booking (we wasn't in peak time) we were greeted by the marshals and I have to say everyone was really nice. The facilities are the cleanest we've ever used and anyone who likes to camp will know that it can sometimes be a gamble. Not here however, the toilets were super clean the showers were lovely and hot and the 20p needed to use them is donated to the local air ambulance which is an awesome idea. The area was always clean and there's even a communal kitchen area where you can clean all your kit, a fridge freezer in case you don't have a cool box. And even local produce for you to use. And if you like a walk there is a beautiful footpath that leads out the campsite where you can explore all the gorgeous areas around. Will definitely be coming back here.

User

This campsite; the owners; the wardens; the facilities and the location are all excellent. Thank you for such a wonderful, accommodating and helpful stay - just a shame about the weather; then again if the sun had shone we wouldn't have been able to see how much your service did!

User

The magic place where you can meet people under the same energy. The place where everything is power and energy.

User

Stonehenge campsite was excellent! The glamming pods were so cute. We stayed in the Moon pod, only criticism would be the bird poop on the sky window, but that can’t be fully helped.

User

Staying for 4 nights in January 2018. Beautiful site in great location. Wardens (Phil and Sharontina) very welcoming, helpful and friendly and do all they can to make the stay a real pleasure. Facilities very clean and warm. Overall very hard to beat.

User

Second time back and absolutely love it here, what makes it that much more magical are the two new wardens Steve and Chrissy, nothing is too much trouble. Only down sides are the men’s bathrooms could be updated a bit and it would be brilliant to have some activities for the children and an on-site shop! Will be back again soon!!

User

My family and I stayed here for a few nights with close friends and it was a brilliant weekend. Showers and toilet spotless, loads of space for the kids to play. They look bed feeding the alpacas and seeing the horses. We hired a fire pit which was a lovely treat for the evenings. Wardens were friendly and helpful too. Washing up area was clean and tidy.. the only thing negative was that the portaloos were not nice.. not enough chemicals and need to be emptied.. but didn't ruin our stay.. will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this campsite

User

Lovely site, beautifully landscaped and very welcoming. Great to be able to walk to pubs. Very friendly atmosphere and enthusiastic helpful owner and lovely warden (Charlotte).

User

Lovely setting, friendly people and very clean and tidy. Ladies toilets and shower block posher than some hotels I've stayed. Will definitely stay again if we come that way.

User

Lovely campsite stunning pods, my husband and i stayed in the butterfly pod and our teenage daughter and best friend stayed in the eden pod both perfect! Ideal for us as they are a stones throw away from each other,we found the staff very friendly and the site well kept ladies toilets great standard and yes no music but that was fine for us for a relaxing escape will def recommend and we will return thanks for a lovely weekend away

User

Love this place second time we have been for the summer solstice festival.

Had an amazing fun filled week on camp for the tenth solstice festival. Lots going on here laughed non stop met some beautiful people and the camp wardens are helpful happy and friendly. Would highly recommend as a well organised campsite with gorgeous scenery all around.

Shall be doing this every year now!!!

User

Fantastic owners nothing too much trouble fab information about the area and what to visit. Cleanest amd nicest toilet and shower block I have ever seen. Highly recommend this camp

User

Best place in the world to be especially during solstice xxxx

User

Beautifully maintained family friendly campsite. The new wardens are very welcoming too, especially as they have only been here a week! Facilities well maintained and clean. 20p for a shower that goes to the air ambulance. They also have alpacas that you can feed in the middle camping field.

Lots of lovely walks from the site, the Boot Inn is about 10 minutes away. Food was fantastic, and the kids menu had more to offer than chicken nuggets! My kids had the grilled salmon, and the eggs&soldiers. Near the boot was a well stocked farmshop for basic provisions.

I am looking forward to returning again!

User

A fantastic place! Such a lovely site in a beautiful location, great amenities, run by beautiful souls! the Solstice camp is simply fantastic!

User

Nice site. Stayed in the Butterfly pod. Kettle, mini fridge and heater inside pod sufficient. The kitchen hut was sweet but if it's raining, a bit of a walk with wet food or clean dishes and cutlery which is supplied but you are told quite strictly that it is a campsite and expected to leave everything as found. More camping than glamping therefore. I was amused and a little insulted that on checking out that the 20.00 key deposit isn't returned if they think you've left the glamping pod not how they like it and they check before you leave, leaving you feeling like a naughty schoolgirl hoping you are clean enough. Luckily I was and got my 20.00 back. The lights in the toilet and shower block are in a timer so if you go in the toilet at night alone and sit for too long you're left sitting in the dark until you walk out of the cubicle. It costs 20p for shower and another 20p for the hairdryer which I was told on arrival this goes to charity.

User

Lovely campsite in a great location for Stonehenge. Loved the fire pits and the wardens were very welcoming - especially Liane. Only downside was the lack of showers as there was quite a queue in the morning and the fact no music allowed. However, this was fully explained.

We travelled with our dog who was also made more than welcome and had some lovely walks along the foot path.

After reading other reviews, yes the rules are strict but it's a lovely campsite and for us, worth a few sacrifices.

Will definitely be staying again.
