Nov 2017: An update. My MacBook had a fault, so I took it in for repair. What a difference - this time the experience couldn't have been better. So upping the stars from 1 to 3.
June 2017: I went to buy a 13" MacBook Pro, to support a local bricks and mortar business. Was greeted by a sceptical sales assistant who passed me to a colleague. She gave me answers that were both condescending and incorrect, obviously uninterested. I left and bought one in the online Apple shop instead. Utterly, utterly useless.

Very bad experience. The service I received in this shop was very disappointing. An absolute waste of time and money. Don't bother.

Dredfull service I went in today to ask for help with my phone to be told you have to make an appointment this was 10am mon morn 3 members of staff just stood doing ? What not working I know that as I was only customer in the shop also as a disabled lady can they not have a chair in this shop not everyone can stand.went past again 20mins later still no customers so they weren't rushed of their feet

My worst ever experience. DO NOT BUY from them. I had travelled up from bradford as thought they were offering the 3 year comprehensive warranty cover but found out you had to pay a further £150 to cover accidental damage. They refused to accept my niece's unidays student ID (which is accepted by Apple themselves). First they insisted on email evidence of the university place to which my niece had shown around 5 different items - access from her uni account, confirmation of finance being accepted by admissions and access to uni webmail and a portal. All of which wasn't acceptable! I truly believe that these staff members were racist and did not want to sell to us. It was a blessing in disguise as we went thereafter to the Apple Store in trinity who sorted out everything (free headphones and Apple care for half price as well as 10% off) and it's much better value with excellent service. So my advise is never to go with these ppl and Apple directly. I could not help thinking that if I had actually bought from 'stormfront' how would they deal with any issues within the warranty if there were so bad at the purchase! Save yourself the storm!

Abysmal! Knowledge of products, known defects , warranty claims and general helpfulness is very poor! Tried to charge me £50 for sending a product off which had a known warranty issue. They look like Apple but their customer service is nothing like it. AVOID and go to an Official Apple outlet!

Absolutely ridiculous! I'd spent all weekend trying to activate my iPhone only to find an error message. Apple sent me to this Stormfront shop to download firmware. The assistant there suddenly asks for 10 pounds stating that Apple wouldn't have told me about this charge and not to worry it's a small price to pay for the firmware fix and that my issue is minor and would 'be sorted' in 30 minutes. When I returned the same assistant opens a drawer where my IPhone had been sitting and tells me that he had the same message I'd been getting all weekend.
Basically, no fix, no solution, and ten quid lighter to tell me what I already knew. When I challenged him about the money he laughed me off.
A kick in the teeth.

Very poor experience, I walked into the shop and 3 assistants were stood doing nothing yet I was told I need an appointment to speak to them ... there is nothing on the website advising that appointments are required and as they were stood doing nothing in an empty shop, asking what my problem was would have been good customer service

Do not EVER by from Stormfront - go directly to Apple. They damaged my laptop during repair, are expecting me to pay £50 for the device to be sent off while it's still under warranty, have 2-3 week repair times (excessive under EU law), and lied about the manager not being available.

There is no one more important to a business than its customers but Stormgate just don't get it. They take forever to answer the phone and when I took my 12.5 month old 6s with a battery crash problem in was told it would cost £306 to repair.

Not the Shop but the Repair Centre

I took my Mac Pro still under apple cover to the York Store, as the Mac would not boot, would load the apple logo and reboot. After running some tests with Apple they told me to drop it off for a hardware test.
I had worked out what the fault was myself, But your repair centre after having it for 2 weeks told me it was faulty memory that was installed as an extra from Apple. After collecting the mac and your instructions was to remove the faulty Kingston memory and it was booting fine. Plugged it in and still the bloody same. Would boot the apple logo and reboot.
I rang the same tested I did before and still came up with the same fault.
I had to tell your repair centre what the faulty part was.
After another 2 weeks you have replaced the faulty part, which should have been replaced on the 1st visit……

Then you send the mac back with memory in the wrong slots so it would only find 1 stick.

You call yourself an apple repair centre????????????????????????????
