We really enjoyed our stay in one of the lodges. A classy but very welcoming hotel in a beautiful location.

Stayed in a lodge which was quite pleasant. Could possibly use a little modernisation but no real gripes. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a very pleasant sitting room with views over Windermere and log fires. Grand, spacious, but cozy. Next time we'll stay in the hotel itself.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful room and some helpful staff. Will give 5/5 for now but still surprised room service on second night of stay was a much lower standard than the first. Maybe training issues or maybe tipping matters. While some staff were very helpful I felt my stay would be better without some.

Great grounds with views of the lake either side of the mansion and paths going down to it. Plenty of seating areas inside with an open fire, conservatory area and outdoor seating too. Had afternoon tea, with staff very attentive. Food was good however the sweet very much outweighed the savoury

Stunning building, fantastic staff and amazing views. Only down side is the queen sized bed was two mattresses pushed together which was a little uncomfortable. Especially considering "the bed" is the basic need for a necessity, I was expecting a better night's sleep at such a fantastic hotel.

Beautiful location . Right on lake Windermere. Big size bed . Nice veiws of the lake. Big shower for two.

We only went for the taster menu, the place has some charm and the food is nice if pricey. The best thing going for this place is it's location. Windermere is your paddling pool although you would need to be high up to see over the trees. A traditional Lake District hotel away from the crowds.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location on Windermere . Having said that, the prices are exorbitant, I was charged £10.50 for 3 cups of tea.
