Stourbridge Shuttle Description
We operate on one of the shortest branch lines in Europe at around 3 /4 of a mile between Town and Junction.
The service is provided by 2x Class 139 Railcars, designed by JPM Parry & Associates and are the only 2 operational examples of these in the UK. They are hybrid flywheel /LPG and are very environmentally-friendly!
As Pre Metro Operations Ltd, we are proud to operate the service in partnership with West Midlands Railway. We are also part of the Network West Midlands "family", linking public transport together across the Transport for West Midlands area.
At Stourbridge Junction, trains depart at frequent intervals to Birmingham Snow Hill and Moor St via Cradley Heath. There are also services to Kidderminster and Worcester. Our friends at Chiltern Railways also operate services to London Marylebone via Leamington Spa and Banbury.
At Stourbridge Town, we link into the Stourbridge Interchange, where bus services are available to many other local areas including Merry Hill, Brierley Hill, Dudley, Wordsley, Kingswinford, Wolverhampton, Halesowen and Bridgnorth. For full details, please visit www.networkwestmidlands.com

16/07 12:50 SNOW HILL LINES: delays expected due to a trespassers on the line near The Hawthorns. There is also a problem with barriers near Stratford upon Avon which may also delay some journeys.
13/07 It's Wordsley Festival Day! Plenty to see and do at this free event, on King George V Park. From Stourbridge bus stn catch bus 5 direct to the park, or buses 16/17/17A from stand C to Wordsley High Street for a 3 min walk to the park. N-network tkts cover bus & rail travel!

05/07 14:10 SNOW HILL LINES: delays possible on some journeys to a road vehicle hitting a bridge.
05/07 09:55 CHILTERN LONDON PASSENGERS: the signalling problem has been resolved and lines are now open. Delays will continue for a while as services recover.
05/07 07:15 CHILTERN LONDON PASSENGERS: disruption between Leamington Spa & Banbury due to signalling issues. Lines are currently blocked. Passengers for London may use Virgin & LNW services New St-Euston.
