The team at Stowford House would like to thank the many kind, generous people in the community that have been supporting them during this difficult period.
We have received PPE, electronic equipment, food and unique crafts to make our lives and the lives of the residents easier. Attached are some photographs which hopefully show the delight that we have had in receiving some of these.
... Along with these practical gifts, we’ve also received lots of cards and letters of thanks and support and we’d all like to send our heart felt thanks for everything.

😷As per the new guidance all staff are now wearing surgical face masks within the home. Any keen knitters out there that would be willing to knit some button bands to save our ears would be very greatly appreciated! Patterns can be found online if you need one, and if a lack of buttons puts you off, Sherrie has a button box full and the residents will gladly help sew the buttons on! 🤗

🌞Residents and Staff in the sunshine yesterday enjoying a sing-along with Matt.🌞
The Residents and Staff were socially distanced and kept in their floor groups, Matt was the other side of the garden fence, but this all proved to be very fortuitous as neighbours, both senior and junior came out of their houses to join in. When the song had finished rapturous cheering and applause coming from the streets around could be heard well within the home. The song you will recognise as ‘You Are My Sunshine’, however, listen closely to the words of the verse as Residents and Staff have changed these to reflect the situation we are all living in.
🌞We hope this brings a smile to all who see it, and shows that life in Stowford House is still joyous, despite the current circumstances. 🌞
I have just heard on the news garden centres are throwing away a lot of plants because they are closed. Please don't. My care home would love them for the garden. The Residents and staff would get a lot of pleasure from them. PM if you can offer any.
