Bikes back and as good as new. After a crash i brought my bike to Stow's for a repair of a chain ring and a service. The bicycle is back in action after a week in the shop. Very reasonable price and staff knew what they were talking about which is always reassuring in a bicycle shop. Only small criticism is a week to repair seemed a little on the long side but it was a good job well done.

Ordered and built in house
It started on my first ride after driving an hour, first time the chain was slipping and snap over on itself every gear change.
I phoned and explained the problem they request I bring it in to look at .
Once returned i had to leave it with them till week day as that's when the mechanic work .
I didn't receive a call for 2 days I had to phone to fund out it had been done .
They explained it was a bent front derailleur I trusted this was the case not knowing a lot about bikes.
I then drove a hour again for the same thing to happen once again leaving unable to join the fun for a wasted journey I was asked to bring back .
This time I had to leave it for a week as it was
A chain issue which they have now replaced .
yet to pick up for the next issue.
I've had nothing in the form or an acceptable apology other than sorry which just isn't acceptable for the hassle this caused me on numerous occasions
I wouldn't return to this place to purchase another bike after spending over £1100 because of the experience plus the overpriced parts/ equipment

Sent bike in for diagnosis of any issues known and unknown, job not completed 100%.
Firstly were are my old bearings to say they were worn out?
Brakes adjusted badly and are not the way they were when bike came In, the bike is creaking which was not there on giving it to you. Crap service and 2 staff had no idea about diagnosis questions. This shop is good for your average road bike, take your 3k + bike there and they will guess and umm at your questions trying to make you sell your bike and buy their bikes. Shite service and no honesty, this is the 3rd to.e it's happened I will not use them again, HALFORDS gave the bike back in a better condition than these people. Shocking and terrible. I would agree with some people here, they do make stuff up to make money from those that are less knowledgeable about components and bikes.

Always have had a positive experience. I've bought my bike from them a few years ago, lights fitted, basket put on back of bike, bought bike lock there and my bike has been serviced there. I always go back as staff are friendly and efficient.

I needed a new bike for commuting to work, and wasn't sure what type of bike would be best for my budget. Stows' staff took the time to talk through my options and the trade-offs, so I could make an informed choice.

They are very knowledgeable, and I appreciated their patience. They set the bike up with mud guards and lights, and it's working perfectly. Coming back soon for the free service that came with the bike!
