superb will defo be telling my fishng buddies about it you can go and take the mrs with no guilt trips as they can laze in luxury in the lodges

great log cabins with a well thought out spec ,laying in the hot tub or a spot of fishing ,or if your into golf greetham valley 2 mile away ...if you need a trip out oakhams a nice little town with a big coop for all your food supplies

you could be anywhere in the world but your just off the A1 bliss ...

When you really need a truly relaxing break then it needs to be somewhere so good you'll want to return. All I can say is this is our 7th visit to Poppy lodge .... and I'm certain we'll be back for more.

What a great place to stay. A little gem of a cabin. Had a fantastic weekend stay relaxing in the hot tub and sauna both on our own and with our kids and grandkids on my wife's birthday.

Son in law brought his fishing gear and pulled a couple of 6 pound mirror carps out after only 30 mins of his first cast.

This is a little gem of a place even if you are not into fishing. It is so quiet and relaxing, a wonderful place full of wild life. The cabins are beautifully fitted out with every mod con you could desire. A wonderful home away from home. Rachel and Rowland have done a great job with their cabins. We have been twice now and hopefully will be back again.

These are the best lodges we have stayed in and we always try to find better, but wether you choose 4* or 5* you will not find better we always return here.

There is nothing better than sitting in a hot tub overlooking a tranquil lake with a glass of bubbly. Everything you need...bath tub in the bedroom, a huge comfy bed, dual showers and a Smeg fridge. What's not to like??? Will be back for sure xx

The log cabin we had was absolutely fabulous, sauna, hot tub and a place to sunbathe and relax located in quiet location for people to go fishing or just chill out. Local pub Jackson Stop very friendly, food fabulous location quaint. Oakham is a lovely little town nice little shops as well as the big shops.

Such a lovely place, the owners are so helpful and make you feel so welcome, hubby caught some great fish too, will be back next year

Stretton Lakes is a lovely relaxing place for couples and friends. Lovely lodges in peaceful surroundings.

Spent four nights in Clover lodge in September. The lodge was stunning, all of the furniture, fixtures and fittings were lovely. We walked into the village for lunch and the prices were very reasonable and the quality of food was very nice. My other half spent time fishing and caught some decent sized carp.

The hot tub was enormous and well maintained. Overall we had a lovely few days and the owners went over and above, accommodating little extras my partner had asked for. 10/10 would definitely stay again.

Our second stay at stretton lakes, absolutely loved it as much as the first time! Beautiful place, so relaxing and the cabins are perfect 👌🏻 could not recommend highly enough! Thank you for another wonderful stay.

Just returned from a long weekend break (in Poppy) and can honestly say I have not felt so relaxed in a long time. A lovely retreat at a home from home environment. The cabins have everything you need in them (apart from food and drink) and everything is spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy too. Hot tub is fantastic and easy to use as is the sauna. Would recommend to anyone that needs a totally chilling break with luxury.

Just returned from a fab weekend with the family. Perfect way for everyone to relax and recharge our batteries. All the 'boys' caught a fish and the 'girls' got to chill. Everything is well thought out and the complimentary items are a lovely touch. Thank you.

I've been to Stretton lakes three times from Cornwall .. it's very very clean. up to date very comfortable very relaxing and very friendly. We had one of the new lodges last year at Christmas and it snowed very heavily it was a perfect white Christmas. It's must be on everyone's bucket list.. can't wait to book again soon.
