Good deed of the day. Our H & S supervisor, Nick Gerlach and Operations Director, Adrian Barby-Moule spotted a cow stuck in a ditch near one of our sites. They called the farmer to inform him of the issue. They used a canvas strop to keep the animals head up out of the ditch. Both offices are under the direction of Jon Bassett.

Structural Soils are delighted to announce that Jade Allen has achieved 20 years of loyal service on 12th October 2018. She has been a pillar of Structural Soils over her time with us.
Jade started with us as an ‘Office Junior’ after seeing an advert in the Bristol Evening Post in 1998 after completing her A levels and not knowing what to do for her degree subject. She hoped this ‘Gap Year’ would give her some office experience and some thinking time to find out what direc...tion in life to take. At this time we were located in Lower Park Row, in Central Bristol with about 50 staff.
During Jades time at Lower Park Row, she was promoted to receptionist assisting with the accounts. Jade was also instrumental with the relocation of Structural Soils to the Old School. Jade continued into the accounts and credit control departments. From 2012, Jade moved into a Sales and Marketing role arranging our trade shows, awards ceremonies and the very successful drilling day. In 2013, Jade became a mum om her return to the office she was promoted to Senior Administrator and was responsible for wages, expenses and accounts. From 2016, she was promoted to Office Manager responsible for our admin team and the Old School building. She also was a driving force in arranging our 50th year celebrations
We all enjoy working with Jade and she always comes to work with a can do attitude and delivers everything requested no matter how last minute!

It is fantastic that we can celebrate this achievement with Jade. 20 years’ service is a considerable milestone that not many people achieve in their working lives. Jade has very much grown up with the company and her influence has no doubt helped shape the company into the successful enterprise we are and she has added great value. We wish Jade and her family all the best and thank her for her commitment and dedication over so many years. Here’s to the next 20!
