CORONA VIRUS / COVID 19 CLOSURE: Sturminster Marshall Memorial Hall is closing until further notice in light of the advice given by the Government. No one is permitted to enter any part of the premises.
All bookings for events between tomorrow and the end of April will be cancelled as there is no prospect of the Hall opening before the end of April. All later bookings will stay in place unless, of course, you have asked for them to be cancelled Towards the end of April a further note will be sent out to the same recipients explaining the position for bookings during May. If at that stage there is no prospect of the Hall opening before the end of May, all bookings for May will be cancelled This process will continue each month until the Hall reopens FURTHER INFO ON OUR WEBSITE

The 2020 Hall AGM meeting will take place on Thursday, 30th April 2020 in the second hall at 7.30pm.
All officer posts need to be elected at the AGM, but Derek and Jane Rees have decided to stand down from their Chair and Secretary roles this year, meaning that those posts will definitely be vacant..
Derek has kindly offered to remain as Treasurer to provide continuity. If you are interested and would like to discuss what is required for the Chair and Secretary posts then please contact Derek on 01258 857252.

New partition installed between large and smaller halls. Many thanks to the CoOp and people who shop at the Sturminster Marshall CoOp for grants that funded this. If you are booking both halls you need to arrange for someone to open the partition.

This weekend’s Cream Tea at the Old School (next to Red Lion) is in aid of the Memorial Hall, from 2:30 - 5:30pm. Please would you spread the word to family and friends and come along for refreshments.
We could do with a bit more help, so if you are able to assist on either Saturday or Sunday or by donating a cake or scones, please contact Barbara Beaves on 01258 858404 or email barbarabeaves@gmail.com.
Thanks.
