Stayed here for one night during a trail running weekend.
Host accommodation and breakfast were all fantastic!

We stayed here for a few days, through the Caravan Club (CL Site). Perfect location for walking the Fells and Lakes, with Helvellyn right on the doorstep. Pub just down the road - excellent!
The CL site ground is hard-standing tarmac (some grass overgrowth, but not for awnings), so was generally pretty dry to walk on, and only a slight incline in some areas. There's a toilet and a (£1) warm shower. Both clean and a well kept. There are two track entrances to the site, and both were easily accessible whilst towing our 12 foot caravan. There's a slight incline on the immediate entrance to the pitch area, but perfectly manageable for towing vehicles.
This is a working farm, so has chickens, dogs, sheep, donkey all on or nearby the site. Expect some noise - it's the countryside ;O)
The family are really friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning next year.
