Rest In Pieces Substation - despite 62 objections and a valiant speech, the redevelopment was waved through this afternoon. Thanks to all who got involved and let's hope the new building is a success for Ancoats and the city.

62 objections to @substation_mcr scheme received, strong & sound reasons for this development to be refused planning permission #ancoats Thank you to all who have objected to this poor quality development that will be a blight and burden on Ancoats.

The council are 'minded to approve' the demolition of the Substation.
If you have objected and can attend the meeting next Thursday 12th Jan, you can speak for a few minutes to the Planning Committee to try to persuade the final vote.
