Suffolk Writers Group

I run weekly Wednesday and Thursday evening groups for people interested in creative writing. I also offer short courses and one to one services.

This group is for anyone interested in creative writing who lives in Suffolk. Everyone is welcome, whether you are semi-professional or just starting out.

You can book to come along to a taster session with us all or maybe have a couple of one to one lessons before joining officially. It's a good way to make a confident start when you come to your first group session.

Each evening is themed, for example we have previously covered creating more rounded characters, establishing a sense of place and writing effective dialogue. I'm always happy to tailor sessions to the needs of the group so whatever your particular interest, whether it be poetry, screenwriting or writing for children, you'll find the support you need.

Typically each two hour weekly session will include individual writing time, paired or group feedback on work, formal learning on a specified topic (but in a fun way) and a break for tea, biscuits and general chatting.

Each session costs £10 for two hours or you can pay monthly for £35.

Private tuition is £20 per hour and I can also offer editing services.
