Went to the sugar mill yesterday for my birthday meal treat from my dad we didn’t book Just walked in the lady explained there maybe a half an hour wait for a table as there was 6 of us we were happy to have a drink & wait we didn’t have to wait long at all the lady was lovely all the staff were polite & helpful we then ordered our food we didn’t have to wait long for food,food was lovely!! All plates cleared 😀 my children loved it & the pudding too and really good prices first time visiting & we will be visiting again thank you 👍

The meal was lovely well presented and good quality and the staff were helpful and friendly

I cannot praise the sugarmill enough. Myself and my family went last night (13/2/2018) in order to celebrate my marriage which had occured in the morning. The service and food was fantastic and the staff went out of their way to make the evening lovely! Can't recommend this lovely place enough! Thank you ever so much to everyone at the sugarmill!

Fantastic night with friends and family New Year's Eve, a real family vibe and fantastic music shall be making this venue a regular for events Thankyou to sarah and phill (new owners) for such a good night, your such a lovely family and I wish you all the best in 2018, love from us Royce's x

Christmas lunch at sugar mill was amazing we were showed to our table ,waiter came to take our drink order,then came to check our lunch order we waited for 5 mins for our starters which was yummy and for our Christmas lunch was spot on and dessert was amazing,well done guys at sugar mill fantastic job.***** 5stars.

Lovely food and friendly staff all the way through the meal until the end where we got the bill and then we waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come over and take our money. She was to busy talking to other members of staff. In the end we had to go upto the bar ourselves and pay which isn't what were supposed to do but it was getting late and me and my friend wanted to get going. If it wasn't for this I would have put 5 star.

Some friends went to the farrier in Grantham with six people and their bill came to fifty pound. I've been to pubs that serve home cooked food and it costs more. That's because it costs more but it does taste better. However you pay for what you get and paying less doesn't mean you get worse service and quality. Give this place a go but don't expect service that you would receive I the Ritz

Had a lovely meal with family fir my daughters birthday 16 January evening. There was 12 of us. Great menu see they have added some low calorie tasty healthy dishes ! Service was good and meal was excellent! They must have a new Manager And Chef!

No Rib Eye, No Beef Burgers, No potatoes,noRoly Poly and ran out of Rasberry Gin, Steak was cold and service pretty average for a party of 11.

I was here for a meal with 5 other people I had the meat pie ( glad I had my own teeth) there was an handful of chips and dessert spoon of peas ( lots of pastry yuck ) one had curry with 3 bits lamb another had burger looked like a child’s portion , some of us ordered desserts as still hungry, lovely jam poly however just before bringing to the table they dropped one on top of the other didn’t check it , my dish bottom was covered in my friends jam poly and she had a chip in her custard bowl and she had to ask them to change it , I don’t come from bourne but I do go out there to eat and meet with friends , but would not go there again and would not recommend it

We have just eaten at the sugar mill, we booked a table for 4pm, they only had 1 roast meat available of 4! It’s a Sunday and we’d booked so it is disappointing that there was not enough roast to cater for our table of 10.

The waitress was very apologetic however it would have managed our expectations if we had been told on arrival. The vegetarian option was flavourless and dull is an understatement.

Desserts were ok but nothing special.

We will not be re visiting for a Sunday family meal again.

I would not recommend this for Sunday lunch

Was in on a quiet day, asked to change the cheese and had to pay £1, but as I was a third person was being asked to order a 4th meal as it's free, I declined as it's a waste! maybe offer an alternative or maybe do the goat cheese for free, also had a fudge cake and ordered it to be warm and it came out cold. Not a great experience for a slow day.

Popped in with 2 children for lunch, they had pasta and a burger kids meal which was reasonable. The thing that struck me was the price of the adult main courses if your an adult on your own.



The food is poor value for money unless you can have the 2 for 1 deals and then you are probably paying more than you should.

Disappointed- usually the steak meals is pretty good but this time I had a tasteless steak accompanied by one small onion ring with a tasteless and very watery peppercorn sauce was extremely disappointed the only good thing was the lovely waitress

Very disappointed chips were not cooked properly, steak was cremated and the peas were like bullets, even had to pay extra for pepper corn sauce, not much choice on the kids menu ask for coke and get pepsi, they ask if everything is ok as soon as the plate hits the table as a chef myself i would never dream of sending food like that out, i will never eat there again better of going across the road to mcdonalds!!

Tonight a party of 8 of us, most had ribeyes. One with everything, others with no rocket. Rare and med rare.

All came over cooked, my mum's was un-cuttable. My parents eat here twice a week and probably have 2 bad meals in every ten and she will always tell them good or bad, Her steak was full of sinue and fat, inedible. When she asked for if to be taken off the Bill, the waitress said.... Maybe you should eat elsewhere as your steak is alway wrong!

How bloody dare You! We work hard for our money and if your steak is crap or you know my mum has had a bad experience there then make sure she has a bloody good steak. But don't ever be so rude. Bloody jobs worth! No you didn't get a tip tonight.....

Ordered chicken and bacon salad, when it turned up I was told they had ran out of dressing so it was very dry. Would of been nice to have been notified there was no dressing when ordering because in my opinion that is a big part of the meal. The salad was off colour and was clearly not fresh.

Me and my parents went to have something to eat today, and we sat down and everything was fine.. I had to go to the bar to ask someone to come and take our order and someone did. We got our food after a long wait, the food preparation was ridiculously bad. We finished our meal, and we was waiting for someone to come and collect them but no one was. I did notice a waitress called Pamela, walking up and down she obviously didn't want to do any work. Because she knew there was plates on our table, but she obviously couldn't be bothered to do it. I asked another waitress to do it for us. We was going to order dessert but there was no one about to take our order so we decided to leave... the service was absolutely rubbish. I think some training is needed for waitresses that don't want to work... I will not be coming back!
