This week we've had the absolute honour of having Hollywood royalty Annette Bening dine with us. Annette dined with us earlier this week for the first time and came back for a second time yesterday - very high praise to have her visit us twice! A fabulous lady and a fabulous actress.

*ANNOUNCEMENT* We’ve Revised Our Menu
Today we launch an updated version of our A-la Carte & Takeaway Menus. Back in March we launched a full new menu (for the first time in 15 years)! We made some changes that our guests loved, and some that our guests didn’t, so we’ve taken the feedback on board and brought back some dishes that our guests asked for.
We’ve brought back salmon as an option in our fish dishes, we’ve also brought back duck curries including Gang Supparod (a fi...ery red curry with fresh pineapple), and we’re re-introducing a number of stir-fries including Pad Broccoli and Pad Prik – a spicy mixture of spring onion, bamboo shoots and carrot. Alongside these re-introductions we have broadened our vegetarian range, and we’ve updated our set menu’s to provide even more value.
We realise we may not have got it right with our first round of changes, however we strongly believe this new version of our menu will be a hit with our customers.
We want to thank everyone for their feedback over the past few months, we value every single one of you and we hope we can continue to be Yorkshire’s most loved Thai restaurants.

Visited Sukothai in Chapel Allerton for a lovely Sunday lunch, beautifully decorated restaurant very nice ambience, lovely staff in gorgeous traditional Thai dress, the food was divine and the buffet was also impressive with fresh fruits for dessert options and vegan dishes too. An old favourite of mine for Thai dining.

The staff are great very friendly and helpful the food is always delicious it’s definitely one place to be recommended to friends and family for an excellent meal in very pleasant soundings

The food was delicious very flavoursome, we had a platter to share for starter between 3 of us which was amazing and our main courses were as equally good. The service was brilliant and felt very personal the lady that served us was so friendly and the food was served quickly. All in all it was a lovely experience and would definitely go back.

Just walked in very late NYE without a booking after a disastrous experience at the blackhouse. Front of house staff was exceptional and found us a table within 15 minutes.

Food was exceptional, service was second to none. Thank you Sukhothai for turning our NYE from a disaster to a success.

Had an amazing meal at the restaurant tonight to celebrate two special birthdays. Beautiful food and very nice staff. Will definitely be back.

For me it’s best Thai food in Leeds, excellent service and the staff are so friendly, tentative and stunningly presented. The food is always delicious and the menu has a big selection but whatever you order its always good. Can’t wait to come back on my next visit to leeds. (Chapel Allerton)

Chapel Allerton was the first of what is now a successful chain. The manager is the same one as when they launched 15 years ago and the very high standards hsve not slipped one tiny bit. Possibly the best Thai food for the price you can find in that mid tier dining bracket. Great setting and atmosphere too,

Both food and service was amazing. Went to celebrate sons 21st and after the main course, the waiters came over with free dessert and sang Happy Birthday in their native language and then English. Lovely end to the evening!

Beautifully decorated with buzzing atmosphere. Although the place was very busy, the wait wasn’t too long. Delicious food. Highly recommended altogether.

Absolutely outstanding. Tonight was our first visit to the Leeds City Centre restaurant, after visiting the Harrogate and other one on the outskirts of Leeds. Never fails to disappoint. Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, lovely staff and very reasonably priced. Our new favourite place to eat. We can't recommend highly enough. Xxx

Absolutely delicious food .... beatific restaurant and welcoming . Yes it’s pricey bir the food is gorgeous. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was packed so you have to expect a little delay!

Unfortunately the service let the whole dining experience down. Table water wasn't fresh, waitresses hardly spoke and didn't smile much. Makes such a difference when the service is good - real shame as £160 for a Monday night tea isn't a cheap do xx

Great food, service could be improved. Had to ask about drinks,and water bieng brought to table a couple of times. Would go again.

Food was fabulous very tasty. We throughly enjoyed the meal. The waitresses were attentive and cleared the table of dirty dishes quickly. Will definitely go back soon.

Fabulous food but if you’re going at lunch time and looking to order from the lunch menu- think again - you aren’t allowed.

It would be a great idea to remove the lunch menu from the website if it is not available during Christmas.

Lovely food but poor service. Had to ask three times for a glass of water. Ordered dessert and coffee. Wrong dessert was brought to us and we had to wait ages for the coffee which was cold when it eventually came. Feel like the poor service let down the lovely starters and main courses. Probably wouldn't return

Visited Leeds branch on Saturday night out. I might expect too high about this place. Food was very average and pricey. You have to order side with your main course. Service was friendly but slow.
