And then there's the food !

Authentic Thai cuisine of the highest standard. Every mouthful of every meal a delightful taste explosion! Owner and Head Chef, Lilly really is a chef at the top of her game and I am sure that with her culinary skills she could in fact be Head Chef at any Thai restaurant, anywhere in the world.

She is also very friendly and takes time out to come and chat with the clientele.



The service was excellent and I quite simply cannot recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant highly enough!

Went to Sukhothai Thai restaurant last night for the first time after my wife tried there Street Food at Glen Afftic Brewery.

I canŌĆÖt believe how many times IŌĆÖve driven past the restaurant and never thought about trying it.

The food is absolutely outstanding, I could not recommend it more. The staff are superb and so friendly.

CanŌĆÖt wait till Sunday now to try their street food at Glen Affric Brewery.

Just got to figure out now how to make up for the last 18 months of not eating here.

This place was recommended to my wife and I by a friend of ours because we both love thai food. We weren't disappointed, the food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were lovely too. Lilly made a point of coming to our table and having a chat with us, which was nice. We'll be back again for sure...

This place is a hidden gem, the food is the best Thai I have eaten. Lilly is truly amazing and so gracious. A meal at Sukhothai is certainly a journey with hidden flavours popping up with every mouthful. If I were to have one criticism; the restaurant could do with a makeover creating a more relaxed ambiance, it is a little bright and stark but definitely worth a visit. The food is outstanding and lovely staff.

The best little secret in Wirral. It's stylishly understated and has the most attentive staff. We've just moved back to bkhead from that London (where there are plenty of Thai restaurants) and I've never known anything like it. Utterly perfect and wonderful and CHEAP!! It's my favourite place after two visits that have been equally amazing. Carl the owner is ridiculously nice. Lily the chef is amazing. Emily the waitress is fantastic. Seriously go there!!!! Just do it

Ordered a lamb massamon curry and it was delicious! As good as I've ever eaten even in Thailand, would highly recommend

Not expecting anything special..... how nice to have expectations exceeded. Great menu, explosion of flavours and colours. Great service. BYO is a bonus as well so value for money was excellent. Will go again and explore the rest of the menu. Mixed starter and the stir fry with fried egg on top was the choice this time

Just spotted this place on our drive past and went in, delicious! Tom had never tried Thai food before and loved it, in fact he said it's the nicest meal he's ever had! We will be back for the new menu :)

Just had the most amazing anniversary meal at Sukhothai. Food was to die for and service spot on. Staff couldn't do enough to make sure you had a fantastic dining experience. This is a gem of a hidden restaurant, won't be long before it's really busy every night, so get in now while you have the chance.

Just celebrated my birthday at Sukhothai, they couldn't have treat us better. They decorated the restaurant with balloons and banners without me knowing and closed the rest of the restaurant off so our group had it to ourselves for the evening. The food was beyond exceptional and so much of it that we all took doggy bags home. Everyone was brilliant and Lilly is a fantastic chef and came out to chat. All in all a fantastic night had by all our party definitely to be repeated. Thank you all at Sukhothai. Anita

I messaged the restaurant as I couldnŌĆÖt tell which meals were vegan from the menu and Lily replied immediately and provided some options. Our food was amazing. CouldnŌĆÖt recommend them more. ’┐Į

Great food, completely authentic and well presented. The chef came to chat to the customers which was nice touch. People passionate about food. Loved it!

Got a takeaway from here. Well the Panang Was the best I've tasted outside of Thailand. Pad grapow was nice not spicy enough for me but all the flavours where spot on. And the Tom yum was Aroi. Authentic Thai. Excellent service all meals where hot on arrival. Looking forward to eating in restaurant. About time we had a decent Thai place.

All of the food was outstanding and all very reasonably priced.You are allowed to bring your own alcohol but they do stock a range of soft drinks.The restaurant was spotlessly clean and modern.They also do take away and delivery.

Fabulous meal last night, we had mixed starter and ribs to start between four of us followed by grapow chicken and green curry. Absolutely gorgeous. Felt right at home. It was like going round to someone's house for food. Great job Carl and Lilly. We will be back. Xx

I had the culinary genius invention of salt and pepper halloumi for starters....absolutely delicious with a party of flavour on the tongue. The pad grapow was fantastic. Just the right amount of spice and there was plenty of food. The Thai red curry was equally amazing!!!

Amazing food. If it's not on the menu, just ask and it will be cooked for you from scratch. So welcoming and friendly. We love Lilly!
