Summer Lodge Country House

This hotel has first rate customer service. If you're looking for a country getaway where you know your pooch will be treated as well as you this is the place... And the food is so delicious too...nom nom!

First time here. Absolutely loved. If your familiar with the Chewton Glen it's just how that used to be when it first opened.

Whilst our original room was well appointed, the bathroom was average, not the superior we had booked. After speaking with the reception we were offered an upgrade, at a reduced rate. The new room was exceptional.

All of the staff were amazing and could not do enough to help. We cannot speak highly enough for their courtesy and welcoming attitude.

Dinner in the restaurant was an event in itself. There is a dress code of collared shirt and jackets are preferred but it's definitely worth it and not pompous at all. The sommelier was very helpful with our wine choice and only enhanced the meal. It's possibly one of the best meals we've ever had.

The rest of the facilities are lovely and it's a great place to unwind and relax.

Extreme attention to detail, exemplary staff, excellent food, very comfortable and welcoming. A lesson in how to do it right!! I would trust these guys to handle any private or business event, and would be sure they would exceed everyone's expectations!
The only place to come sort of close, in my experience, is the Tresanton Hotel in St Mawes.

We spent our 2nd year wedding anniversary at The Summer Lodge Country House Hotel and I cannot speak highly enough of it. The service, accommodation and venue were outstanding and I would highly recommend it. On arrival we had a congrats card waiting for us and at the bar the general manager wished us the best for our celebrations which I thought was a really thoughtful. The facilities are outstanding, especially as its dog friendly and even through the weather was not on our side the hotel still had a very romantic and cosy feel. Thanks to a the staff for looking after us!

Quaint place, excellent service, brilliant food

Service impressive and impeccable as always. Slightly disappointed in roast beef bit chewy and difficult to cut. Rest of food including amuse bouches excellent.

One of the best! The quality of the food and service I've experienced here is second to none. Each dining visit here is a memorable one.

Great country house hotel. Impeccable service. Traditional decor. Food very good and expert sommelier to help with wine choice. Somewhere to while away the afternoon.
