Summerleaze Beach is Bude’s central hub of sand, surf and sun, and it’s the first port of call for many visitors.
Clean, safe and easy on the eye, Summerleaze Beach is a big hit with surfers, beach bums and families. However, it is the sheer variety of activities that mark Summerleaze as arguably the best beach in Cornwall for outdoor pursuits and water sports.
There are superb local surf schools, for example, but you could also try kayaking, sea fishing or sample the thrills of climbing or coasteering with friendly professionals.
Summerleaze Beach also has features that show why Bude is popular for family friendly and disability friendly holidays. Summerleaze offers level access and a flat viewing area, for example, while a cute, sheltered sea pool is ideal for young ones to have a salt water dip. For a serious spot of loafing, there are also cute beach huts to hire.

One of the best all year round surf spots of North Cornwall!!
One of our favourite places. Less than an hour from home. Beautiful beach. Fun for us all. Our dog loves it on summerleaze beach.

Lovely beach kept clean and patrolled by lifeguards! Beautiful scenery and facilities are great. Love the fact dogs can join in the fun! Bude is such a lovely place friendly and welcoming by all 😍
Lovely beach clean and tidy, plenty of space for the kids to play. Spot on!! Some nice shops and cafe to have snacks .

I used to holiday in Stratton every year. My great grandmother always took me to summerleaze. I love it and now I'm bringing my children here

Great family friendly beach with an epic sea pool, life guards and weather was also amazing 😉!!!
Great beach. Wonderful sand. Huge swimming pool. You can see ships docked on the beach also. The shops are not too pricey and parking was fair. Worth a visit.

Great beach for walking our dog. Very reasonable car parking fee and wonderful scenery
Fantastic weekend for the Triathlon; weekend spent on this beach. Clean, good surrounding facilities. Hired a hut too which was a hit with the kiddies, a hot dog & for people to get changed in for the event. Highly recommend for all, & those with pooches too.
Excellent beach. Well patrolled by the RNLI. Water quality is good. Waves are excellent to surf or body board. Big blue surf school are excellent and the beach cafes are very good and friendly. Great relaxation

Beautfiul and very clean, the water was so still last night. Beach huts are so sheltered and in a sun trap makes it a fab place to go to see the sun set.
Summerleaze Beach, is a great place to sunbathe , relax or go walking, Plenty of Cafes to have a snack or delicious Main Meals. Close to wonderful Bude.And you can do your bit to help clean the beach with bags (provided) to collect bottles, plastic bags etc and keep the environment clean for us all to enjoy.The sands are clean and soft, but, also with patches of pebbles/stones
A lovely beach and so nice you can take your dogs 🐶.. unfortunately other dog owners don't read the rules this time of year !!!! All dogs to be kept on leads .. would be nice if the dog warden patrolled and fined bad owners as they spoil it for other law abiding owners !!!
bude has changed for me its ruined now terable carparking i found better cleaner beaches else where it used to be very beutifull but now hmmm wont go again the best thing was morrisons breakfast up the road
