Our first time camping and everything is excellent ... friendly helpful staff and fellow campers. The food is delicious and the amenities are spot on. We'll definitely be back.

A great place to go anytime for something to eat or just drink. Food has got a little pricey. But enjoy going here for walks. Fishing is good for anyone wanting to fish. You can camp here or stay in one of their pods or cabins. Good family place.

Lovely campsite with a fabulous cafe/bar overlooking the lake. Lots of different camping areas for families with young children and those who want a little more tranquility. Brand new toilet/shower block but can be a little walk from your pitch depending on where you're camped. Visiting ducks and ponies and goats a short way from our pitch, which our daughter loved as she went frequently to feed them.
Only criticism.....on the map they give you it says there is a toilet block between the cafe and reception. My daughter and I headed there just before bed on the first night (as we didn't know any better and it was the closest). This toilet block was literally falling down and looked like it had been sitexed prior to reposession. Particularly enjoyed standing in a puddle of wee which had literally soaked through the flooring. Not the best welcome experience so suggest the management just knock it down unless it's going to be refurbished, or at least take it off the site map so that you don't go looking for it in the dark like we did.

Camped here in a premium pod at the weekend and had an amazing time. Stayed as a large family group, 2 tents, 1 caravan, 1 mobile home and us in the pod. Beautiful weather, tranquil lakes and cleanest ever toilets/ showers. Can't rate this campsite high enough. Staff are friendly, helpful, welcoming and chatty.

Lovely campsite and lakes. It was well organised, the staff were all really friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious.
The toilets are clean and smell fresh.
Other than it raining, I have no complaints about the place. Would definitely stay here again.

Went to Sumner Ponds this morning early, lovely warm day, got there at 7.30 a.m. checked to see what lakes were open for fishing on the hut and saw that all lakes were open and there were no matches so set up on the top match lake. There were only 2 cars there parked and no signs of a match on. Started fishing at 8 a.m. fish were plentiful already. A couple of other people asked me if there was a match on and i told them no. One of them apparently also asked in the cafe' about this and they were told that all lakes were open. Around an hour later a guy came round putting numbers on swims for a corporate match saying the owner will come up in a minute. And he did, he asked us if we saw the sign. There was no sign of a match on today when we arrived. He said it was a mistake and that we had to pack up and leave. The small lake was too busy by then. He mentioned us using the new lake Betty and so we did but fishing with a pole did not work here and nobody else was catching anything either. This lake is too new. Ended up packing up about 12 midday. This really ruined my day. It looked like it was going to be a fantastic day on the match lake. So disappointing. Been coming here since 2003 and will not be back in a flash. They seem to be more concerned with the camping side of things and the money they make with corporate fishing days.

Beautiful place to stay whether you are in tent, caravan or motor home. There is a lovely cafe come restaurant, overlooking one, of the many lakes. Everything is well cared for & the staff are all friendly & helpful. We have be going for some years now & although we live locally in Horsham, we always get that feeling of being on holiday the minute we arrive & its as if we were in the heart of Devon, but only 10 minutes from home! It's a fabulous place for both children, adults & dogs. Look up their website or pop in & see for yourself. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful setting, the lake is good for fishing. Good prices for camping, AMAZING homemade food in the cafe.

Summers ponds is a wonderfully run family friendly campsite, fishery and cafe. The food is of a high standard and the portions are well worth the price you pay. The campsite offers beautifully clean amenities which is always a bonus! They have log cabins and huts available to stay in as well as camping and caravans.
They have great fishing lakes and facilities.
So wether you go for a day trip or to stay or even just for dinner, you'll have a great time!

Personally I'm not a fishing person so I can't comment about that aspect of the place. This is all about the cafe - I can't use the term ' restaurant ' though I think their dishes can claim restaurant prices. The few times I have had food there has been good I can't fault them on this. They have terrible staff, they were not rude but they seem to have no idea how waiting staff should behave. It took them ages to come get our order when they say they will do so, then they got our orders wrong. This happens every time I've been there. I try not to go there too often but it is convenient for some of my friends.

Treated my hubby to a cooked breakfast for his birthday along with his mum. On arrival was greeted by very friendly staff and well looked after. We were sat in a very cosy corner of the cafe by the log burner which was stunning and beautiful. The food was outstanding definitely coming back for an evening.
