Wow!! Great news!! Just found out we are one of the chosen groups at Crawley ASDA for their Green token scheme for this first quarter. Please pick up tokens and/or ask your friends to post theirs in the Sunbeam section! The group with the most tokens receives £500 and the two runners up receive £200. We now only have until end of March to catch up with the other two groups!

So we set ourselves the challenge of swimming the Channel as a team during October and with a few days to spare we made it to France!! We still have lengths left to add in so Fred the sea turtle is already making his way back to England!!! Well done team Sunbeam 👏🏻👏🏻🇫🇷🎉

This week a team of Sunbeam Swimmers have started a joint sponsored effort, to see if they can swim the width of the English Channel in a month between them using local swimming pools! Members, parents, carers and coaches are all doing their bit. They're already off to a flying start! We'll keep you updated on their progress. 🇬🇧🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️ 🇫🇷

A huge thank you to Gatwick Airport Community Trust for the grant which paid for new storage crates which arrived in the Summer and our new hoodies, which arrived last night! Everyone who has had theirs so far loves them - photos to follow!

Delighted to say that all swimmers won medals at last week's Marlin gala and some won more than one! We also came away with the Cup for best Junior Swimmer - many congratulations Emily! This Sunday sees us competing at the SPREAD gala at The Spectrum in Guildford - good luck to all those competing remember all you can do is your best!

Yesterday we celebrated another fantastic year for Sunbeam Swimming club. Cups were awarded for most improved swimmer, member who has contributed the most to the Club, two special achievement cups and one for the most enthusiastic supporter at galas. Well done to all the winners but all members are champions and were rewarded with a Sunbeam medal. Here's to another successful and enjoyable year!
