Sunderland Stages Writers' Project launches in two weeks time with the first of a series of talks and workshops from theatre professionals which aim to unlock and develop talent in emerging writers and those new to writing for the stage. There are also opportunities for work to be professionally performed later on in the year.
Playwright Steve Gilroy (Live Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, Northern Stage) will be leading a session on Monday 15th April, 6.00pm – 8.00pm at The Fire Station, High Street West, Sunderland SR1 1DT.
These talks and workshops are free and open to all, so if you’re already a budding theatre-maker or are a writer looking to branch out, why don’t you visit and learn more?

We're looking forward to The Damned United this evening! Join us at The Royalty Theatre in Sunderland from 7.30pm. Plus check out this great review from Entertainment Focus:
Five stars - Entertainment Focus “Brilliantly staged” “The Damned United is swift, compact and bullishly to the point; vividly encapsulating the machinations of an unforgiving business whilst delving deep into the psyche of a brilliant but flawed man.”
