Sunflowers Day Nursery

So far this week we have been using our fine motor skills, glueing and sticking, rolling and using play doh cutters and building blocks together.ūüėä

The photographer will be coming to nursery tomorrow, Thursday 19th , sorry for confusion yesterday. Please bring in any particular clothes you wish your child to wear and let staff know when you bring them in. Thank you. ūüėäūüėäūüėäūüď∑ūüď∑ūüď∑ūüď∑ūüď∑

Just to let you know that we have the photographer in nursery tomorrow if you would like your child to have their photo taken please let staff know when you bring them in. If there is something you wish them to wear then bring it in for us to change them.

Baby room have had a teepee and the children have enjoyed having some quiet time with the books and teddies. We will be using it to create different play spaces depending on their interests and adding different areas to the environment for them to explore.

Today we used sponges for a panting activity. It was very messy but we were encouraged to sqeeze the sponges in our hands to make our muscles strong and it also felt good too as the paint was very squishy. When we finished some of us helped to clean our hands and the table.To extend our learning tomorrow we will be using sponges in water and watching what happens when we squeeze the sponges and filling pots and cups with water too ūüėÄūüėÄūüėÄūüėÄūüėÄūüėÄūüėÄ

Hello everyone. We hope you are enjoying the sunshineūüĆěūüĆěūüĆěūüĆěūüĆě. We are trying to improve our garden areas and wondered if any of you have any of the following items or work in places where they could donate them to us so we can make the garden area an exciting and interesting place for the children to access. Car tyres, guttering, plant pots of various sizes, large cable reels/drums, wooden pallets, plastic tubing/ hosing, . If any of these items are avalable we would be really grateful . Thank you ūüėĀ

On Tuesday 4th july the babies will be celebrating American independence day so could you please send them in any red,white and blue clothes. We will be making some biscuits and getting messy with paints.ūüėäūüėäūüėäūüėäūüėäūüĒīūüĒĶ‚ö™

Today our babies have been exploring foam with toy animals! We were supporting their communication by using animal sounds/words and trying to encouage the babies to imitate the sounds/words back to usūüėä

Today we have been rolling and jumping on the soft mats and moving to music, we should all sleep well tonight. We have also been practicing our self help skills and using spoons at lunctimeūüėäūüėä

Last weeks painting lanterns activity. Our babies enjoyed getting very messy!ūüėĀ Today we have been playing in the bubbles and "washing" the dolls.

We are introducing a story /activity sack in baby room which will go home each weekend with one of the children. We are hoping this will help develop your childs interests and at the same time promote different areas of learning. The story sack at the moment is based on Wibbly pig. There are 2 stories, a hand puppet and a finger puppet and also a notepad for you to tell us what your child did,if they enjoyed it and interacted with you. We hope you enjoy it too.
