Surreal Spaces Description
Surreal Spaces is the base for some really unique all weather structures for weddings / events /functions / parties and festivals. . We do a run of festivals during the summer and create different spaces at each. . ranging from small hazel domes for meeting and seating to large fully run open spaces . . Under our amazing tri-shade structure. . this is a suspended red and white big top style roof with open access from all sides. . flexible to be made into a small stage roof. . But under the canopy we make a cosy sphere of hazel pods covered with canvas a and camo nets , and lined with beautiful materials decked with big soft cushions and lanterns. . Where people can come and use the space for workshops / dance / rehearsal /yoga. . picnics / relaxing etc. . some people even sleep the night in our hazel pods. . We welcome everyone into our family . . offering the daily hot pot and cups of tea etc. .
We have large dome tents which are very popular even as the naked structure as the steelwork in stunningly beautiful and unique. . great for inflatables , entrances, arches and stage roofing. .
Our hazel work is progressing last year we erected gardens, domes /temple / pavilion, and arches . . All hand built on site. This year along with those we are building temple style decorative hazel panels to form any shaped space to fit the clients requirements. . this will form the basis of a "pop up" garden, enclosing big bushy planters, delux chainsaw benches, two canoe seats (on end ) which mirror the temple shape panels and to run a fire pit through the night for guests to warm by. . This garden space can also be covered by the tri-shade if the weather looks doubtful. . We are available for all events for exterior decor and creation.

The new van is slowly coming together..im niw doing the creative and the technical.. But the ceilings in and the childrens beds are going in.. Wood burner next!

Wow..we have new tents to add to our catalogue.. A medium wedding marquee and a giant old school canvas marquee .. A new fire engine cafe is in the pipe line with dry hire bar facilities.. The next 2 years are going to reshape our vision ..and we will be a venue space for reggae..and accoustic musicians.. Gunna be epic!!!
Surrealspaces have been creating indoor benders to create a much loved red tent space for last months international womens day art exhibition.. Potting up seedlings for the summer, building shelves.. Still way behind on my coppicing.. Now my car is broken so its extra hard!! O life.. And the new worker has been slacking on the job.. And mixing up the compost!!.. More training required!!
Love this structure..one day im going to make a 2 storey house out of one of the domes..clad it with wood..yummy!

Hazels dry this year.. Very difficult to bend. Better stock up on wire.. ! Half way through a house move now - then into the load up fir beautiful buddhafield..freshening up my plants and untangling the creepers. Cant wait to see some of favourite faces in the field! You know who you are!! We are going pod tastic at the permaculture garden this year!!
Gathering our lorry loads of festival furniture fir buddhafield..looming next week.. Big build for me single handed! Lets hope the baby feels chilled and sleeps alot- he's doing great so far..cant complain!!

Getting jiggy with it! Fixed and revamped the child swing seat for surrealspaces summer gatherings.. We have creative seating for all!! Still loads to do before I pop!! Getting him used to power tools- sleep easy baby!!
Not a bad day at the office! If only life was always this abundant! Well not bad for a 7 month pregnant bird! 😃 well chuffed.
