From the 19th to 23rd of September this year, our Technical and Member Services Officer, Mathew Crawley, will be making the 111 mile trek from his home in Warrington to the ICCM Learning Convention and Exhibition at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Warwickshire on behalf of both himself and the ICCM. The walk will be in aid of Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide - SOBS, who provide care and help to adults who may benefit from their support following an unexpected bereavement. M...at has a justgiving link where donations can be made here: https://www.justgiving.com/Mathew-Crawley 6 Also, if anyone would like to join him for a few miles, or would be considering corporate sponsorship, options are available so please do contact him either via this page, his personal page or via his contact details on the ICCM website. Thank you in advance on behalf of us all at the ICCM

What a challenge and raising awareness for our charity
Julian is running the London Marathon for our charity. If everyone who viewed this and donated just £2 minimum donation, this would really make a difference and if everyone shared this it would raise much more awareness for our charity.

“Live the actual moment. Only this actual moment is life.” – Thích Nhất Hạnh
It can be easy to live in the past, as is the way with depression sometimes, or to live in the future, which is often how anxiety is manifested. By making way for the present, with all of it’s potential, we can allow life and change to take place. Living in the present is often seen as a way to relax, but it can also make us more productive by removing mental barri...

this charity is unique in the fact that it is user led, support for survivors by survivors
This is a great charity.I lost my youngest son Jack aged just 21 years in september 2016 of suicide ....So i know first hand what people are going through....My heart goes out to you all....Like you all i am heartbroken but like many have mentioned you are doing a great job..... Thanks.....X
This charity saved my husband and me following our son taking his own life just 13 days after his 20th birthday. We had decided to take our own life but SOBS gave us hope when all hope was gone.
The support line had been amazing support the last week . I lost my little brother by sucide.it helps to talk to some one while others are grieving as well
The main benefit I gained was the knowledge that you are not alone. We all have different experiences but the one thing that we have in common is survival. It is a great relief when you can talk to people who have also walked down that dark alley. Will always be grateful for the help that SOBS gave me.
Sobs helped me and my family alot when we lost my brother. I learnt that im not alone and there are people to talk to. Xx
SOBS helped us in part by putting us in a room with people who are also suffering and understand the aftermath of suicide. Talking about a loss is not for everyone but like everything in life you get out what you put in. There is no fix and no magic wand that gets you out of the hell hole that a suicide brings, but having experienced the failings in government funded resources Sobs has understanding people because they (we) are victims too.
S.o.b.s you are an amazing charity .....that i am so so proud of being part of ........after losing my son sam perkis in 2012 we as a family have raised money by walking, fun days, raffles, coffee mornings, and my sams best mate chez nihell is running the i.o.w marathon on oct 8th he has a just giving page that he wanted to raise £500 and its already £600 .........i want to thank you all in the offices and everyone across the country that works tierlessly (not sure ive spelt that right) love debbi lewis and family xxxxx
Invaluable service providing essential specialised support regardless of when someone was bereaved by suicide.
I'm just watching street auction about uz I lost my stepdaughter this yr and it's coming up to her birthday finding it really tuff ..
I am struggling coming to terms with my fiance's suicide. He passed on 25th January 2016. I found him. The meetings have given me so many answers to my questions, without them being asked. It's encouraging to know that others have made it through, but it's also sad that we're all there for the same reason: death of our loved one. Without these meetings i doubt if I'd still be here myself. Thankyou Liverpool.
August 6th 2003 was the worst day of my life , I found my beautiful son dead, he had taken a fatal overdose over a girl... I cannot even begin to put into words that moment I found him , that day went on forever.. My son Danny was just 20..
My Doctor told me about SOBS but the nearest groups to me in Maidstone was London & Dover..
I did go to a meeting and found it so helpful I decided to set a group up in Maidstone , this I did in 2005..
I miss Dan so much , I always will but helping others through their grief helps me too.
